I used to have this with an old AT power supply. But that turned out to be a problem of not stressing it enough. I only had an LED light connected to it, but when I connected a hard drive and cd-rom drive it functioned just fine.

An incandescent bulb doesn't mind about AC or DC voltage, and the reason is a broken connection with FB line.

In fact, it was a bad connection with the molex's shunt, that' not dangerous at all.
That's fucking dangerous why would you even play with that? I'd laugh if your house's power box exploded then you'd have no electricity.

thats just an overload cutout, most switching power supplies have that.
