the x squared is gone because it has been moved to the other side which had been changed to sqaure root..

Because if you did the root tree, 52 would be the product of 2 and 26....if you took the product of 26, you'd get 2 and 13 -- The two's would come out of the tree (because you'd have two of them), and you'd then be left with a 13 as the radicand
