He represents all of oman! hes the best LEADER in history.And in fact, Sultan Qaboos got many awards that represents his GREAT attitude and leadership (mashallah) .BTW dont make up stuff like hes against sharia alislamia what the hell?! The problem is UAE, Qatar, Bahrain are also eying tourism for when their oil runs out. Shouldn't these countries try to use their oil wealth to industrialize and focus on other sectors than tourism. I mean if terrorism starts in these country, tourism will fall dramatically. And if you get too many foreigners and Western cultural invasion in these countries terrorism will start.
