  • shut the fuck up and show us already

  • I think one of the prerequisite of being a boxing coach is being able to articulate a very loud and clear ''BOOM! and BAM!''. Every boxing coach does that i swear!

  • LA GUARDIA MUY ABIERTA

  • Shouldn't the left foot be in line with the the white line ? It looks like it limits the pivoting.

  • @espfit its fucking dangerous to throw a " lead right hand" or " lead left hook".. when i throw a " lead right Hand " i first try to catch the guy out of balance! somethimes it goes wrong. LOL but most of the time i can land it!

  • years to master the lead right?

  • yeah

  • @mastermation ahmm yeah!! u have to box without BODY LANGUAGE! thats whats my trainer told me!! and u cant jsut throw the lead right when u in the mood.. u have to wait for the right moment!! like catching the guy out of balance!!

  • i wouldnt say years. i havent mastered it but its not 2 hard

  • Its really good training video

  • prolly the best explanation u will find on youtube

  • this guy is a freakin legendary coach--Im no expert though, so perhaps he's average/typical?

  • This is good technique he should get one of the right cross up too. Its actually quite different from the straight right.

  • whats the difference?

  • The right cross come across the opponents face in more of a semi circular "slashing" motion and comes from outside the opponents guard like an overhand right would, and it ends up across your body so your hand is by your left shoulder which is why its a cross because ti comes across. The straight right is just straight and comes up between the opponents guard

  • how would you describe a right hook then?

  • A right hook is not one of the four basic boxing punches because it is sloppy, and easy to counter. At my level coaches usually urge their boxers to avoid using them. But that being said, a right hook is a punch thrown with the right arm bent at a 90 degree angle, and the right foot pivots and the body rotates and the right hand comes straight across into the target from outside their guard. If you were implying I was wrong about the right cross, its a variation of the straight right.

  • @TripleNipple3 well it depends f ur a southpaw

  • More importantly, the wide stance provides a solid base to get extra power behind your straight right and left hook. It will greatly decrease your mobility though. Also it's good for balance, if you get hit with something big you have a better chace of staying on your feet. The wide stance allows him to plant his feet and throw solid punches. Also he has spot-on technique and never gets sloppy. Technique makes for alot of power. The old saying is "power from the ground".

  • great one

  • ten star

  • 5discipline5killa5 - "or that kickboxing shit"... first of all muay thai kickboxing is and always will be a better fighting style then boxing, no point of arguing

  • the legs are too open

  • I think his legs are too far from each other. What do you think?

  • Hes totally banging that kid..

  • LOL!

  • its boxing. uhh....no kicks

  • try and kick me, you'll wake up on the floor wondering what happen, only to be told you got knocked the fuck out by my straight right bitch lol

  • YEAH!!!

  • In my opinion his stance is to wide. It looks ok punching on the spot but add a bit of movement and his gona be over reaching to land shots

  • m8 u cant say out he like rainin champ so

  • leave poor David alone...lol

  • yep.

alot of guys go nuts on hitting! hitting positions, areas etc... crap

develop you weapons, if you have explosive power,,,, develope that!

  • I dunno, i disagree to a point. If you start to throw your punch at the same time or before you turn, you have time where your punch isnt completely grounded. Your shoulder is the base for your straight punch, so it needs to remain behind it at all times, otherwise it's easily deflected.

  • The only problem with philosophies...is that not all of them are correct. like when ppl believed that the world was flat. interesting huh? The more correct your stance (i.e. relaxed) the more muscle groups you are able to use when you punch. when you are hunched over and your stance is too wide it stops you from using your midsection and your back. also an important part of your stance, is how you hold your hands in relation to your wrists.

  • I agree his stance is very wide but ya know its wat ever who cares if you can come up with a total diffarent way of boxing that works for you by almeans do it makes boxing more fun and itristing to see other peoples styles

  • as he said in the previous videos everyone has their own philosophies on the stance

  • There's a ton of heat on poor David...

  • i disagree with prince... he has a well balanced stance... remember Kostya Tszyu, now that guy had a wide stance and he was one of the greatest boxers ever.

  • your a noob, your not supposed to step with your right leg, right leg is the power leg, power comes from the ground, not the punch. the only time you step is when your going left or right. you should probably watch more of these guys videos before you start talking about boxing dude lol....

  • You are correct.

  • I understand what you're saying. Leaning towards the front leg increases power. But I believe he's teaching a normal right hand. I was taught both. In the power right hand, I open my hips with a step with my left foot and I transfer my weight to the left leg. It depends on the situation, I suppose. As for breathing, he probably is breathing but he doesn't have a mic.

  • breathing through his nose wat the hell are you talking about hes not even hitting any thing why would he need to breathe?
