well done on finding your first 1800s coin. I think your theory of finding the 1800s coins in the smaller towns is a good one, i have found afew here and out towns arnt that big, certainly much much smaller than Aucks. From memory at school we used to do surf casting practice on the fields with a sinker attached insted of a lure, so thats one theory as to why you found a sinker on that field
Nice job on hose coppers mate especially that Victorian Penny. I found my first (and only) one of those a couple of weeks ago. See my video "Oldest Coin Found" - it was an 1888. What a thrill hey? All the best to you.
@SuperSnoopy36 Yes its taken me a while ti find one and whats a bit ironic I discover it on a field that has been, according to my father, completely covered by a guy thats always down there detecting.. shows you nothing is completely hunted out.. even your back yard! AYE DENISE!!! (Denise found a penny in my yard over the weekend amazing)
More dollar coins ay? hhehehe.. my detector arrives tomorrow hopefully... taking a day off when it gets here. Weather for Tuesday looks good for the whole country too..

I wish I could find dollar coins like that. A guy could almost make a living at it and wouldn't have to pay taxes on it. :)
