No matter how many times I watch this video, I cry with laughter every single time. He was a genius. Even though he was dressed as a questionable Elvis impersonator; he still managed to be so profound. Love that man!
It's unfortunate that we don't have Bill's presence in America now, especially when you consider that 15% of our population is on anti-depressants. Aldous Huxley said once that mass medication of a population is part of a drive to make people obediently accept "dictatorship WITHOUT tears." I believe Bill would probably be far more incensed with this generation then the one your viewing here.

I agree. I've been lookin' over my long out of print Kinison boxset, and also the Hicks DVDs and CDs I got, and Hicks' routines hold up so much better and more over time.
Kinison was a fabulous very pop-centric "party animal" comic, but I agree, Hicks was miles ahead of his badly overweight friend.
I love the fact that Bill actually knew a lot of real Elvis phrases and stuff. He knew the names of Elvis' guys like Charlie Hodge too. You could tell Bill was a fan.
