My son with DMD got his service dog from Canine Assistants! The best experience, wonderful people, he is so happy. The way he looks at my son and just does what he needs to without a command. My son is so happy! Thank you canine assistants!
I love the fact that people with these sorts of illnesses, or as a matter of face anyone with a disadvantage in moving around, seeing the world ect..ect.. are always happy, they have ever reason in the world to not be happy but yet they are so friendly, happy and proud of themselves.
This film is truly inspirational and very touching.
@TehAustrianMonk -As someone with a spinal injury and difficultly getting around, I can tell you how much a positive attitude keeps us from getting depressed or bitter about what we can't do. I try to always focus on how much I can STILL do, the fact that I can still walk, given the injury I have, is a miracle in itself, and something I am thankful for every day. I am planning to get a service dog, I'm really excited about it. Your comment is very kind, thank you for it.
Project2Heal posted a new video on their channel. Check out, "Puppies Trained to Help Children with Special Needs." It is truly an amazing and inspirational story!
You should watch the video, "The Magic of Kids and Puppies" on the channel project2heal. Project 2 Heal matches and donates lab puppies to children with disabilities. What a great cause!!!

I have 2 Service dogs, Lady is a yellow lab I rescued in 2005 and trained she was mobility & Medical alert but now due to her own health problems with her hips she stays at home mainly and assist me with medical alert I have diabetes. I have now a black lab that was given to me to train as my new service dog "Bruno" and he is 2 years old and trained him for my medical alert, Mobility and also a Psychiatric Service Dog.
@ServiceDogMom2005 i would like to train one of my dogs as a psychiatric service dog. have ptsd, and simply do better when she's with me.
how do i go about getting her certified. she already does what i need (lean in on my, lay on my chest (decrease heartbeat/anxiety); i would do better if i could take her with me everywhere.
You can't treat a dog like a human it's a dog you have to be strict when the dog is a puppy so it's behaviour is correct. That's what I did with my dog it's the most friendliest and docile dog you will ever meet a DOG IS A DOG!
how about we help dogs genetically become more intelligent . Its only because of our genes that human brains are the way they are, why not do it to a species humans love and that deserves it?

It is amazing how our modern canine companions have so quickly evolved from their wild wolf ancestors. While it has been more than 14,000 years since we "domesticated" the dog, at the molecular level not much changed at all: The DNA makeup of wolves and dogs is almost identical. At least that is what our terriers keep telling us.

@ash123lou looks like a labradoodle (labrador x poodle obviously) - poodles are far too stupid/ disobedient to be used as helper dogs

This truly shows that dogs are God's blessing to us . . . and they ask nothing more from us than our love, and they give us so much more back!
