Rival Schools 2 (yeah, that one for PSX/PSOne with a "story" mode and so on, only in japanese) and Street Fighter EX Plus Alpha left a bigger mark on my childhood than any other fighting games. I actually prefer the version from Project Justice. Idk why.... I guess it reminds me more of my time in high school. Before things got complicated in college. lol Although this version of the original sounds awesome! Certain parts remind me of Mega Man for some reason!

Anyways, I LOVE the Rival School games! (flame shield up!) I actual prefer them over Street Fighter. Im planning on doing my own LP of Project Justice soon! =]

considering the situation of a noob, if he chooses the first team (which seems to be the "main storyline group" due to that position in the select screen), thats the first song he hears.

So maybe they went from this perspective to choose the song. Also the "badass" factor may be accounted.

If the character was Hinata, probably they would have chosen the classroom song LOL. That or the gym.

His kick is actually a vertical spin.

Well this was around the time Alpha 3 came about so I dont think Capcom saw any problem and quite frankly not a lot of people did. I do see the problem that people have with shotos, how they are unoriginal and copied but Batsu does have his differences compared to other fighting game characters.

Say what you will about his special moves, but his style and personality are way different from any of the Street Fighter characters. Anyway, this song is quite awesome. If they added another Rival School song, I'd want it to be the Justice High School Library, although that wouldn't fit very well with any of the characters.

Yeah but it would be cool. Im a RIVAL SCHOOLS Fan myself, and Im glad someone included him into TVC. Batsus' no RYU Clone, say a fireball or two. Overall, his other techniques are vastly different. I feel your plight about Batsu's Not SHOTO cloness. Also....The Library, I like Illusion Space myself, and ofcoarse the HS roof...which was chosen as Batsu's them! I cant wait to play this awesome game again!

I am pretty confident though, because they (ign) said that (and dont quote me on this) Among new characters on the capcom side, are some dude from dead rising, and a character from the megaman Zero series. As we all know, Zero from the MMZ series is different from the MMX series. Lets cross our fingers, and hold our breaths on this one.

No one knows what Zero it is. IGN sucks for providing false rumors. The guys in SRK (including me) and in Capcom Unity know that the entry is just "zero", so no one knows for sure what it is.

This used to be the only stage I would play in Rival Schools after I heard this song. It's like everything else in the game just paled in comparison to it. QCB + K = special kick (usually a hurricane kick)

Batsu has all of them three.
