Overall is depend what you need Mac are not good for gaming at all. Pc has virus yes but if you know how to maintain it with firewall or anti virus your great. Mac are over price you can tell. You can build a desktop 600 total with six core 6 gb 2 tera byte hard drive and etc.

Enough of what better mac or pc. It gose down to what float your boat. For me If you like dell like me you like it simple. Same gose to Mac. Depends on what experince you had with the company also. Me i had a bad experince with apple so i don't like it. The brand i like with my experince with a company that is helpful was Acer, Dell , Asus And Compaq. My opinion what i like.

i understand your point. However, the point of a mac is thus:

the software and hareware work in such a way that, if you were able to upgrade the parts that apple have selected to work with OS 10, the seamless intergration of both hardware and software would be lost.

Essentially, if you allowed so much versatility in a mac tower. You would be turning it into something no better than a dell running windows.

Also, the macpro works only with selected soundcards etc. Its not fully upgradable.

what i want is apple should have different colors and designs to the same model; probably maybe start with colors first. I mean, In the old times, when Apple stuff were unaffordable, few ppl had them so the same color and design was okay then but now Apple products have grown popularity and its abt time they think of putting in different flavors like they do with ipods

dont say they are expensive rather say that they are unaffordable. macs are cheaper or more or less same price in their range. theloesh even confirms it. If you want to buy a laptop with all built in, good quality stuff, you have to spend not less than $1,400

I do not plan to use a Mac at home. I have used Macs for School and Work, mainly 2d and 3d design. I think Macs are great at that. The reason I don't have one at home is because I don't want to have my desk at home look my desk at work. I want to have fun when I get home and don't want to be haunted by deadlines. If I can find someone who could anodize a Mac Pro a different color, I would be happy.
