Normally former politicians would write a book after completed Government service to expose a different side of that persons life and how he/ she interacted with other co-workers. Mr Cheney used this book to launch personal childish attacks on former administrative officials in his own party. He enraged people and served disloyally to the nation.

Powell tells it about as clear as can be said. What it makes me wonder is of all people how was it that Dick Cheney was even the Vice President at all, and for 2 terms at that. Was Cheney part of an underlying right wing coalition that even controlled President Bush? It seems that of all the many mistakes the Bush Administration made, it was Cheney who was involved in their origin. How was it that he seemed to always get his way over the dismay of the rest of the administration?
