God, you can just see the ass kicking coming by the way most of these guy are holding the rifle. No tuck, no leaning into the gun, loosely on the shoulder or worse on the upper arm. Only the last guy showed close to proper hold, had he leaned into it a bit more it wouldn't have kicked quite as hard. Big guns have to be treated like big guns. A .577 T-Rex ain't grand dads old '06 or .303. Show it the respect it will otherwise teach you.

@dannman4209 Not quite, the .50 has a muzzle brake that much reduces recoil. A brake would make this much more pleasant to shot. Take the brake off a fifty and it will break your collar bone like a dry twig. Big guns kick HARD. If you don't know how to handle them, they can hurt you pretty badly.

the caliber was designed to stop a raging bull elephant or rino things were stoping power is important and you are shooting at a relitively large target so accuracy is not as important. hows that for a truly useless weapon. Plus you may only get one shot anyway

Absolutely useless weapon. The recoil makes it a one shot wonder. If you miss your target you're toast because you're busy pucking your ass up off the ground due to the recoil. The guys need to install a muzzle brake on this thing to tame down the recoil. Even then it's impossible to shoot.

That may be, however if you can only fire the weapon once, you had better pray it hit hit it's target. Subsequent firings would be few and far between due to to physical and psycholical recovery of the recoil. Even experienced marksmen would leave this gun for dead and choose another weapon due to the recoil. Once again I sight this as a useless weapon.

@RKE47 look closer at the gun... there are three different guns... at 1:25 is one of the other two guns, could be the same caliber but its not the same gun... and the last gun looks much bigger and heavier... might be the same cal. as well but the gun looks much heavier which will cut down on the force of recoil as well...

@RKE47 sadly, no, he was the only guy holding it right. Everyone was holding it loose and leaning back to let the small of their back take on the majority of the wight of the rifle ( it weighs 20+ pounds). Had they leaned forward kept it tight and had a foot planted firmly rearward they would have held on to it. i have shot a 12 gauge 3 1/2 magnum slug out of a 4 pound single shot (recoil was calculated at 112 ft/pd, 577 t-rex rifle is about 130 ft/pd) and didnt drop it. It hurts like a bitch!

The last guy doesn't move because he know how to shoot a large calibre rifle, you lean forward with with 70% of you weight on the front foot and you tuck the stock against your shoulder in tight! I have and shoot a .458 Win Mag with 500 grain projectiles and if you don't lean in to shot you feel pain!
