  • interesting shall keep an eye on my K8 thanks Mick.

  • I know when I was working on our 4-wheeler with my grandpa this happened. The pipe that drained excess oil was clogged so all the oil ended up in the air filter. Hopefully it can be a small problem like that here.

  • It's coming from the crankcase breather (re-breather) system. Been a problem for several years. Mist from the high crankshaft speed does not precipitate (out) in the system cannister. Like most motorcycles, air box has a drain tube for this reason. And, NEVER oferfill crankcase.

  • @rweis216 yes, this sounds also good ... ;-)

  • I guess, this must have come from the air filter? Or any other explanation?

  • @bangalorebobbel what I think... coming from a hole on the bottom, I saw some small spray on the wall?

  • @micbergsma

mmh, this would mean the airflow comes reverse?

Maybe any kind of backfiring or so? But this would be petrol - how this should bring any engine oil to the air filter?

I think it is higher probability that You had some remaining spray or so in the air filter - either from filter production, or from assembling or so. And I guess You may see such traces of oil even more often if You use now a reusable air filter (which You may wash with petrol, or You use some MO spray or so ...)?
