Even though this ship have some interesting functions such as taking off the top part to look at the inside. It still looks terrible. I was a Lego enthuast in the 90s as a kid and I had alot of lego buildings, ships and so on. I had a friend with a huge lego ship, have even found it on the internet and I have to say that the lego ships of today make my eyes bleed.

Very nice, highly detailed and formidable. But. I miss the ropes, at least the one which would link together the poles. The body looks to be made of only few big parts. Nonetheless, 6285 remains the prettiest and best regardless of the fact that two would be needed to overcome this new flagship.

Why do people refer to them as legos? I was under the impression it was a lego brick, a pile of lego or a lego set. It is similar to paper.

If you had several sheets of paper you would call them a stack of paper as opposed to a stack of papers!

Please correct me if I am wrong, this has always been a serious question in the back of my mind.

I wish I had all Pirate sets. I have some older sets called 'Shipwreck Island' (6296), 'Skull Island' (6279), 'Armada Sentry' (6244) and 'Islander Catamaran' (6256). I also have 3 sets from the 2009 Pirate series: 'Pirate Survival' (8397), 'Soldier's Arsenal' (8396) and the 'Cannon Battle' (6239). The new exclusive model has the BEST pirate ship design ever.
