Estimated friend, if you want to listen again this song and an endless number of successes of the love I suggest you to visit Radio MUSICA PARA MIMOS - looks for his direction URL in Google ( search Musica para Mimos in Google)-. best romantic music of all the times in Internet, is great, is very good ...!!!
I used to despise this. It was the signature tune of the Maniqui nightclub in Falkirk but with the passing of time, it now brings a certain nostalgia........I must have listened to it 50 times today !!!
Besides...Just look at Lisa! You can tell who´s the star here no doubt..Those eyes, those moves and that voice just makes me wanna f**k her for hours...
They were the hottest thing in Europe for a few weeks.. But Gay!? I´m as straight as they come and I think it´s a great song. Perhaps because I was a young man then and all I ever did was partying and getting all the "kitty" I could handle. Life is different, defferent but also better....
I went dancing in the clubs to this in my hay day its safely the best song of the 80's and it brought the world Lisa Stansfield easily the best thing to come out of the North of England EVER
this song was remade by an australian group and it was a hit about 10 yrs ago or more... and me being a huge Lisa Stansfield fan didn't know that she sang this!
Does anyone remember "Love is a big thing" by blue zone aka lisa stansfield.....it was a big club hit on the manchester scene about 1986...ill try to upload it in the next few weeks.
I know in one of her vids, she cuts the little curl out of her hair. I guess it's a bit of a hint of "freedom" from the band and into her fantastic solo career. Cool!
Brilliant song - Brilliant voice. I av loved that song for years & av just been able to buy the cd single online. It's great to see it on youtube. Jack Jack Jackie yehh -you can probably see by this that i like this song lol.
I dabbled with the gay pubs from being 15 years old - but only when I really started on the "scene" at 17 this song was really really popular - and more popular with the ladies - they used to go mad when this was played and the whole of the pub used to get up and sing and dance to it. You have also got to remember though that Jackie is also a fellas name.
Does anyone know what year this was released and what nuber it peaked at? I really like it. I didnt realise she was in a band before she went with Coldcut back in '89.
PS. Lisa Stansfield STILL rocks, check her out every chance you get, whether she's at a pub, amphitheatre, or auditorium...you'll never be sorry!!!! Chuck
OMG!!! SOOOOO many people have been looking for this video for so long!!!! I remembered it and Videobuff and DJCAMCORDER had the song but no VIDEO!!! Like I told them, I remember
dancing to this song twenty years ago at the "Villiage Station" in Dallas and "Angles" in Oklahoma City. Thank you so much for bringing back such a good song and great VID!(Plus the Memories) Chuck from Oklahoma
Since I am a women who goes out with women I'd like to think she is singing about another women but I think she is just trying to leave it up to everyone's imagination. I'm happy for Lisa that she has had a loving relationship with her husband, Ian for so many years. I know they are a great musical combination. Plus Lisa thanks for the "Real Thing" video.:)
emmm, emm , err , hang on i just gotta go to the bathroom, man she's so hot! the best/
