  • i was born in the wrong era..... ahhh take me anywhere after the 70s! :(

  • Love this! She is HOT but the two guys with her are even HOTTER!!!! XXXXXXX

  • wait wasn't there another..version? I saw it on t.v yesterday but it was a different version, not sure if this the orignal

  • anybody know the chords for this song?

  • im all alone in my lonely room without you!

  • Jack Jack Jackoff... :-) (I didn't know this was actually Lisa Stansfield until about two years ago, and I had the record!)

  • I used to despise this. It was the signature tune of the Maniqui nightclub in Falkirk but with the passing of time, it now brings a certain nostalgia........I must have listened to it 50 times today !!!

  • One of my favourites from the 1990's on the scene.

  • she has a great voice!

  • Besides...Just look at Lisa! You can tell who´s the star here no doubt..Those eyes, those moves and that voice just makes me wanna f**k her for hours...

  • They were the hottest thing in Europe for a few weeks.. But Gay!? I´m as straight as they come and I think it´s a great song. Perhaps because I was a young man then and all I ever did was partying and getting all the "kitty" I could handle. Life is different, defferent but also better....

  • I miss those days in New York. Songs were hits, with out Ryan Seacrest! AH

  • wow that was intense..

  • Love Lisa Stansfield!!

  • is this about lesbians?

  • hahahahaha

  • Jackie is with me now and hears it for the first time...brilliant!!!!

  • I went dancing in the clubs to this in my hay day its safely the best song of the 80's and it brought the world Lisa Stansfield easily the best thing to come out of the North of England EVER

  • Another great song from Blue Zone's only album was "On fire". I was hoping to find the video here somewhere, but no such luck, unfortunately.

  • WoW, I've never heard Lisa Stansfield sing like that

  • neither did I. I never knew that was song by her.omg

  • this song was remade by an australian group and it was a hit about 10 yrs ago or more... and me being a huge Lisa Stansfield fan didn't know that she sang this!

  • Please tell the name of the cover and the group or artist

  • Joanne in 1999.

  • Joanne Accom - Jackie

she was a 90s dance/pop artist from australia.

  • Does anyone remember "Love is a big thing" by blue zone aka lisa stansfield.....it was a big club hit on the manchester scene about 1986...ill try to upload it in the next few weeks.

  • lol is Jackie a boy or a girl?

man this song brings back memories of the 90s. i used to LOVE this song! still do =)

  • thats what i was wondering

since the original Lisa Stansfield is a woman...the girl who sang after her is too.

so is it a song for lesbians?

maybe they were singing about jackie chan

    lol

  • By the way check out the BZ video if you want to see some hilarious but truly repellent dance moves!!

  • The best version of this would be Lisas voice on BZ's remix!

  • aaah the good old days when women had ridiculous hair styles and they let you touch their 'soles'!

  • I've never seen this.

I know in one of her vids, she cuts the little curl out of her hair. I guess it's a bit of a hint of "freedom" from the band and into her fantastic solo career. Cool!

  • Gawd this record is as gay as I am. Fantastic!!

  • It's Is Almost Sound Like Taylor Dayne's "Dont Rush Me" Song.

  • Lisa Stansfield & Blue Zone's "Jackie" Hit Number #8 In 1988 Billboard's Pop Charts.

Written and Produced By Ric Wake For Wake Productions.

  • i have this song on a 45 record i was looking 4 this song thanks for posting

  • She could open cans with that curl! lol

  • Brilliant song - Brilliant voice. I av loved that song for years & av just been able to buy the cd single online. It's great to see it on youtube. Jack Jack Jackie yehh -you can probably see by this that i like this song lol.

  • I miss the "Ric Wake" remix of this song that I heard at Rich's Houston.

  • I dabbled with the gay pubs from being 15 years old - but only when I really started on the "scene" at 17 this song was really really popular - and more popular with the ladies - they used to go mad when this was played and the whole of the pub used to get up and sing and dance to it. You have also got to remember though that Jackie is also a fellas name.

  • Still looking for that vid of "On fire" though...

    Love that late 80-s style!

  • Does anyone know what year this was released and what nuber it peaked at? I really like it. I didnt realise she was in a band before she went with Coldcut back in '89.

  • PS. Lisa Stansfield STILL rocks, check her out every chance you get, whether she's at a pub, amphitheatre, or auditorium...you'll never be sorry!!!! Chuck

  • OMG!!! SOOOOO many people have been looking for this video for so long!!!! I remembered it and Videobuff and DJCAMCORDER had the song but no VIDEO!!! Like I told them, I remember

dancing to this song twenty years ago at the "Villiage Station" in Dallas and "Angles" in Oklahoma City. Thank you so much for bringing back such a good song and great VID!(Plus the Memories) Chuck from Oklahoma

  • i've loved this song for years and years and it's the first time that i've seen the video. awesome

  • Since I am a women who goes out with women I'd like to think she is singing about another women but I think she is just trying to leave it up to everyone's imagination. I'm happy for Lisa that she has had a loving relationship with her husband, Ian for so many years. I know they are a great musical combination. Plus Lisa thanks for the "Real Thing" video.:)

  • Is she singing this song about a woman?

  • WoW, I've never heard Lisa Stansfield sing like that, I'm used to her softer side, that was a great song!
