Ihave the lg Dare & i put on top of my car to take my dog inside of my house and forgot about it

when i remembered where it was

i had al ready gone to get pizza and back

when i found my fphone on the side of the road, the case the battery and the back of the phone where on one side while the body of the phone the screen and multiple buttons where on the other

i also had an 8gb sd card in the phone and it had 700 picures , 150 videos , over 50 recordings, and about 650 songs

Went kayaking right after work off of La Jolla Shores . On the way back in, kayak took a tumble and phone got dunked once more. Keeps on working.

I don't understand why they won't release this phone in Europe.

I've been dying to get a decent 'toss and drown' phone literally for years.

If you only follow the Nokia line, you'll see they keep on taking away features in each new model, they suck!

And this last one is just a laugh... extremely bad software, crashes all the time, very slow, keypad keeps on coming loose after several times using warrantee, ....

You might want to consider the Nokia 5500 Sport. It's been similarly advertised as a tough phone - resistant to shocks and water splashes (though not to military standards AFAIK). I own one and I like it.

if your considering a tough phone. get the G'z one type V!! it has the 2 megapixel camera. even though the type s has bluetooth. i'd rather have the better camera on it. and i tested my own phone. i put it under water and slammed it on a table. no scratches and nothing happened to it. i thought that water would seep through the loudspeaker in the back of the phone. but i was surprised nothing happened. just shook the phone.. and began to talk on it. worked GREAT!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

I got the type V with the insurance plan. so i can basically take this phone anywhere and do anything to it. I LOVE IT!

so far i am pleased with my type S. i wish it had better signal quality. my motorola v710 gets about twice the signal than the type S in the same areas.
