  • I was hoping to see him hit the ball but an ad popped up.

  • @jkekd both of you are right, having a slower backswing saves energy and let's you gain momentum for the downswing which generates a controllable shot with more speed on the followthrough and faster club head through impact.

  • I like watching the crowds heads turn way to late to watch the ball lmao

  • if one of those people would get hit in the face with that would they die ?

  • most people think nothing of it, but the most important part of most peoples swing is their back swing, too many kids out there, and some adults bring the club back way to far and this causes a lot of inconsistancy. I've shortened my backswing a lot, and now i'm hitting the ball further and straighter with much more consistency.

  • @DryHeeves i agree

  • @DryHeeves Hence why all the old-timers in weekday leagues hit the ball pin straight (not very far albeit).

  • @DryHeeves Keep in mind speed of the back swing is very important too. Even if you don't go back too far, but you go back so quickly, it doesn't make for proper weight distribution and weight transfer when you uncoil, which is where true power comes from.

  • @DryHeeves Id say the opposite-you see all sorts of backswings in great players. But what they have in common is good downswing, transition and impact. Good backswing makes it easier for us average players though i agree

  • I've betted on Lee Westwood (world no. 1 golfer??) to win on many an occasion!

I am $3500 down since I started betting on him to win, no more! I'll bet on anyone but him from here on in!

  • @FootballingGODS lol, know how you feel man.Im actually now going to have a bet on Westwood in the next tournie as he will probably win now that you have stopped betting on him.I meant to back Mcillroy at 20s last week but got the weeks mixed up and didnt realise it until it was too late. Some people have no fucking luck

  • check out my channel and let me know what you think of my swing :)

  • Yes, everyone, please critique the greatest players in the world. Hilarious that YouTubers sit around trying to outdo each other on who can point out the most meaningless things in a pro's golf swing. Please go find videos of Lee Trevino, Miller Barber, Bruce Lietzke and other "losers" who don't subscribe to your blather about what a perfect golf swing has to be. Anyone with an ounce of real golf swing knowledge would never post your trash.

  • His upper body looks very tense before the release which explains his head movement. Everything he does is fundamentally correct with the straight left arm and straight wrist.

  • I'm never gonna watch Youtube again if this ads from Agoda keeps popping up at the middle of the screen... F**k You Agoda

  • @kooliokeng I'm sure you tube wont miss an ass wipe like you! Soon there will be no ads = no youtube, there are ads everywhere on this planet ...GET OVER IT!!

  • @GrecoPrawDG We differ in opinion here. What you see as a chicken-wing, I see as a slight folding of the left arm. This is caused by the position of his head at impact/through impact. You will need to view LW's swing from another perspective to appreciate this. LW's head at impact is not directed at the ball and this gives rise to this slight folding. The chicken-wing and what this implies is certainly more pronounced and importantly, is the result of the left/front hip not clearing.

  • @Noallegiance I got nothing against you. I don't even know you, so why would I want to be against you? I would use his swing as a model anyday. Afterall he moves the club around his body on a super plane angle, creates great coil and maintains good balance. I don't see any chicken-wing and I don't think he loses a lot of height in the downswing, but you can take that up with Peter Cowen. Now if you said Dustin Johnson loses a lot of height, I'd agree, but not LW.

  • @BrianT59 on the side angle you can see the chicken-wing better

  • @Noallegiance. Not bad for a guy with unsound mechanics. The stats say that he hits 70% of fairways [like Top10 in the category]. He also hits it long, Top25 on the European Tours last year. Not bad, but I guess he just gets lucky. Now who was that, that was No1. in the World Rankings this year? Was that another guy, who happens to have the same name?

  • @BrianT59 no no that's Lee Westwood. Well done. Swing still wouldn't be used as a model though. I don't appear to have slated him as a golfer in my original post. I'm English and a fan of Lee's for his golf and professionalism, not his swing. I didn't say lucky. I said instinct. Jeeze some people just wanna get rid of some tension by bravely picking an argument on the internet. Knock one out instead. You'll feel better.

  • No 18 at Augusta...He is the man !

  • on instict hahaha.man

  • Lee is the man

  • Been told I have a lee westwood style swing but wish I had the same result :)

  • @john75port whats that a pull chicken wing fade yuck

  • world no1

  • he lives in the same town as me

  • SHANKAPOTAMUS

  • Thats is a very difficult swing to copy

  • @rohannat I don't know why anyone would want to copy it. Very individual swing. He's hitting the ball on instinct more than sound mechanics.

  • @Noallegiance18 thats just rubbish, if you beleive that then im afraid you know nothing about golf.

  • @themothmanreturns and lo the internet breeds even more fools who read what's not there. You ask any top coach and Westwoods swing would not be used as a model to copy. Chicken wing and loses a lot of height in the downswing. He's hitting it MORE on instinct doesn't mean he has zero decent mechanics. So read what's there fanboy, not what you think is there. I agree, his instinct must be damn good to get to world number one.

  • @Noallegiance His lawyers and promoters are even better - this short ass losing idiot isn't even a hero in England - why? Cos he ain't won anything to be world no.1!!

Little bit of Beckham hype fever with Westwood! Beckham wins 1 trophy in the last 5 years (2006/7 La Liga in the season Coppello said your shit, your dropped and I hate you - he started 15 games), since then the HAM man has earned £150 million for smiling an awful lot (and putting up with an ugly skinny wife)!

    Lee has done LESS!!

  • @UFCritical he's still achieved 100 times more than you ever will mate!

  • @AL0083 Wow, you english really get worked up when someone dares to tell you a few home truths!

The Critic is right - let this consistant loser prove the critic wrong by winning a major.

The Critic didnt actually call YOU anything ALzipzip83's! But you resorted to good old English and defended Lee by insulting the critic - therefore it is you, not the critic nor Lee who has the problem.

Think deeply on your reply and wait at least a week (enough time for the choker to choke again) then reply!

  • you can really see in his swing how he play the fade

  • one plane

  • @westersoccer...He makes a full shoulder turn, a shortened back swing is more compact, making it easier to get the clubface back to square at impact.

  • im no pro but as hes brings driver back he could let it hover back a little more for more acuracy still great swing kind of hard to tell

  • @westersoccer hahaha i have 100% no clue what you where trying to say there.

  • @westersoccer Yes, you are definitely are not "no pro"
