  • I will pay you to teach me how to play this and Joni's live version of Refuge of the Roads...that is if you live in NYC. LOL. I'm serious about learning these tunes though. you're superb. cheers. p

  • ouch! you are awesome, please do an Amelia cover, named my daughter after the song but would love you to sing it. You are the only person who as ever done decent

    Joni covers, seriously! xxx

  • You make me cry, man. I hope to meet you and Joni some day. You must have touched her heart, too.

  • Oh man, she must have written this for you to sing. And be glad she did!

  • Heaven forbid me to say this, but I like your version better than Joni's. I like that that you brought the song down to its core - a haunting and yet peaceful guitar, and your voicing brings out the complexity of the lyrics with a tone that is hopefully, melancholy and beautiful. Very nicely done.

  • gorgeous.

  • Wow. Just wow.

  • your're great dude.

is that tune in standard tuning?

I doubt it, being Joni and all.

  • Joni songs are very difficult to cover. You nailed it! Good work.

  • A stark and bare performance that highlights this musician's amazing talent and deep and thoughful interpretation to one of Ms. Mitchell's most moving songs. It leaves the listener with a longing to hear more; much more. I, for one certainly hope we do. Bravo !

  • Sweet bro.. you're drifting. :)

  • This is my favourite Joni Mitchell song and you play it brilliantly! Love all of your videos - keep 'em coming!

  • Really beautiful to hear my favourite song of all time and to hear it in its stark simplicity sung by a man with a voice to die for and guitar that cuts through to where only Joni can. mmmmnnn. white flags of winter chimneys waving truce against the moon. gets me every time. thank you. whens the cd coming out. thats what i want to know. and a happy new year to you.

  • Very Nice You Brought Me Chills

  • Gorgeous

  • Wow. Just shows that a guy can do justice to a Joni song. You sing the song very tenderly, with traces of James Taylor, without being a slavish imitation. Joni would rather people "interpret" through their own experiences, as opposed to doing the same old schlock. And you make it look so easy, as in, "Hey, dude-I hear you play guitar. Break out one"! And You play real good... for free....

  • Awesome. Did you change the key? I'd love to sing this song, but it's out of my range, and if I drop an octive I get now tone or power. But you sound great and around my range. Very impressed.

  • Hey man, really nice version. Thanks for posting.

  • good job I love this song, I ve almost finished learning it. nice acoustics in that room too, I bet its your favourite room.

  • i love this song. and have a decent voice. i just love whole hejira album, i wonder if you have the dvd or cd of the live concert in... um.. i forgot. well it's one hell of a concert with a special atmosphere. That is what joni's mitchell brings to me. both warm and melancholic feelings. Both sides now..

  • Your rendition of this classic song is outstanding! You have captured Joni's sense of longing and vastness. This is a very moving video and like others here, I hope you are able to make your living from your great art. Let us know if you perform in NYC.

  • Another blissfull rendition from one of the most beautiful voices and consumate talents on this planet! It's an absolute privellege to be able to listen to you sing and play.

  • You're a hottie - and your guitar playing is spot on - but your voice (which is good) is lost in the stairwell.

  • Really you do the only Joni Mitchell covers that I wholly approve of and enjoy listening to. Seriously flawless job. It's nice to see other people who appreciate her. I'd like to request "see you sometime" and "gallery"- if you take requests.

  • Love it!

  • why aren't you famous? your should be on stage fella, great voice, amazing instrumental and there is a really passion that exudes from your performances.......Amazing......Good luck to you chap.

  • Really great. Just awesome.

  • I love your staircase sessions of Joni.

  • I *love* the key he put it in! It makes it even more beautiful and puts it in a whole new feeling and light.

  • I have been a Joni Mitchell fan for over 20 years. I can appreciate this young man's redition of her songs. His "Case of You" rendition is a refreshing addition to a classic song. Thanks for sharing.
