@IfearGuitars im not quite sure, but i think hearing the final lyric's in the song "be where you are ", it says to me that it's about forgetting the past and living in the here and now, and perhaps "lever pulled" is a metaphor for fate, saying that your lever is pulled and there are certain things that your fate presents to you that you have no control over, of course im probobaly wrong...i dunno, i think more often than not john doesn't put much meaning into his lyrics, it could mean anything
