No it actually is about heroine abuse. the band has admitted this several times in interviews. Its about a girl he loved breaking his heart. glycerin as in notroglycerin is used for people with heart problems(angina pectoris). This is just figuratively speaking as he doesn't have a real heart problem. The drug meaning is hiding with the word glycerine. Instead of taking heart medicine hes using heroine.

Grunge is not sloppy punk. Grunge is actually a more mainstream, intricate and more creative playing style of punk rock. And yes, Bush was influenced by Nirvana. But they sound nothing like Nirvana. AND. Nirvana was a GREAT band. Their songs may not be hard to play, but thats not what makes a great musician. Kurt could take a 3 chord song and turn it into a fuckin masterpiece, same goes for his singing voice. NO ONE can imitate it. Bush is a great band, but not even in the same league as Nirvana

Glycerin's job is to make something easier to work with, something to help you swallow a pill, so to speak. Therefore, "Glycerine"...is about a relationship that is very difficult, and Gavin is singing "could have been easier on you", saying he could have made this hard relatinship easier, such as Glycerin does when used as a lubricant, elixer, etc.

Another way to look at the word "Glycerine" and to still back up the point of the song, is to know that Nitro-Glycerin is an explosive!!
