  • This is great Fabyr , and many thanks of a French guy ;)

  • @TAJours

    Merci!

  • Parte II

  • Parte I

  • really cool Sir ! :)

thanks for the respons ! intresting instrument i will search more for it ! :) sounds really funny :) !!

  • Thanks a lot for your comment.

  • It's "j'ai vu le loup, le renard et la belette, j'ai vu le loup, le renard danser". If you listen the melody you'll recognize the theme of the "miserere".

  • Very interesting , thanks for the explanation of the origin of this piece. Greetings

I think i´ve heard it from Cajun Music (Les freres balfa, i suppose).

  • Great Video. I see that today tapping is not new. Nihil novi sub sole.

    Greet

    Artur

  • Great sound

  • Very nice! That's a Hungarian drone zither, right?

  • what kind of music is this?

i need it for a report

if u could answer that would

    be awesome

    thanks!

    oh great plying skills btw!

  • Sounds like the Branle de chevaux

  • Sorry. It sounds like

    Jay vu de loup

  • Excellently done to be sure sir. What is the precise name of the instrument you are playing? You're rather elliptical in your description. Thank you!

  • wonderful playing and instrument...

    how is it called?

    hard to play???

i allready play guitar and mando..

  • Wow, it's nearly the same as a "mountain dulcimer." Was it popular in France do you know? If so, ould explain my attraction to the thing.

  • You are a great musician; how difficult is it to lurn the instrument you play in this video.. in fact, what is the instrument called?

  • bellissimo !

    suoni anche la ghironda

    (in occitano "la viulo") ?

conosci Sergio Berardo e Lou Dalfin ?

    o altri gruppi occitani ?

    ciao !

    :(

  • Me recuerda algunas melodías del Pirineo aragonés. Una música muy bella

  • all of your videos are really enjoyable; how long have you been playing all of these instruments?

  • First of all let me thank you for your kind comment.I've been playing since my early childhood , therefore more than fifty years ago...

  • great performance!

i want more of this music, but where can i found it?

it is great music, if i hear it i just wanna dance :)

  • Great video! :)

  • Thanks!

  • but where can i find this music?

do you have some band names?

  • There's a French group that recorded several pieces like this in the late 70ies:maybe they are still active. The name of the band is Malicorne.

  • ok tank you very much.

i hope you make more of this ;)

    greats demorrigan

  • Flawless performance!

I really love the sound of renaissance-instruments.

    Thanks for sharing.

  • Thanks for your nice comment, glad you like this music.

  • That's great. :D Where did you buy this? It sounds so nice, I'd like to learn to play one.

  • It's a special dulcimer of East Europe. You can find similar sound on the Hungarian zither.

  • There is in France (and Quebec) a traditionnal song called : "J'ai vu le loup, le renard et la belette".

I like your version very much. Nice !

  • No,I have played a hurdy gurdy(we call it GHIRONDA)but haven't got any-for now :)

  • Do you have a hurdy gurdy?

  • Nice performance; I am going to try to mimic it on the mandolin. Could you explain your instrument? I've seen dulcimers before, but this one looks kind of like ones I saw of SW Asia (Iran, Afghanistan); I don't understand the steps that come out from the instrument.

  • It's a Transilvanian cytara,a very old form of dulcimer of East Europe. The"steps"are decorations:horse heads for keep the strings.

  • sounds interesting,

    ver nice played :)

  • A merry dance!I've enjoyed it cos it's so joyful.

  • Yes,it's a dance of the Renaissance. Some groups of French or British folk presented their arrangements with a flavour of folk-rock.
