@butterdog33 "defaults write" changes what's called a "boolean" from true to false or vice/versa, or in this case it's expressed as either 1 or 0. Simply write "defaults write com.apple.finder QLEnableXRayFolders 0" without the quotes (as opposed to with the 1 at the end) to reset Finder's quick look behaviour.
hey I found a fitter in snow leopard, not such of a big deal but very cool. If you go to expose, and put the cursor on top of any page a hit the space bar you will get like a quick view of the page. Thanks for the videos, very helpful
Sorry, but that's LAME to post the video via YouTube but NOT include the elusive "show notes" in the info window. Yeah yeah... "go to our website!", got it. But do you even have a link to IT (or dare I say the page in question) in the info window??! Nope, course not.
I keep getting an Unexpected argument TRUE; leaving defaults unchanged. when I try to use the script for the one window dictionary. Any one know what to do? Yes the x-ray one is cool and worked just fine. Great tips.
anyone who wants the show notes, i went to the trouble of writing them out for you DONT add in the quotations: Quick Looks special X-Ray mode : "defaults write com.apple.finder QLEnableXRayFolders 1" one window Dictionary : "defaults write com.apple.Dictionary ProhibitNewWindowForRequest -bool TRUE" hope it helps u guys out.
Awesome, where are these "show notes?" I want to input that command for the x-ray and dictionary thing it looks a little more useful and of course x-ray looks awesome =].

@NorCalExplorer
Remember to capitalize all the letters as shown. If you've done that, it should work
