Thanks, it's since been put back to mostly stock and sold. I have to say it was a great car, but of all things I broke the rear end [2 axles]. It was on the original short block and I ran 25-28 psi for 5 seasons [on race gas tho]. I have everything in an 85 Turbo Coupe now, I didn't want to cage the SVO and do all the other stuff for faster than 11.50.
@FredadickO Both of my cars have t5s and 7.5 rears, transmission and rear end are completely separate parts. But he probably did switch up to an 8.8 because it is stronger, and easier to find after market parts for.
nice. iam two a new proud owner of a svo... a question.. why are you running 3.73's with a t-5?? if you run like 3.27's you'll hav a wider power band. right? the shorter your gear, means that by the time you go to shift (with 3.73's you can still be pullin in some boost and be a good hard long pull in 4th to the end of the track.... right???
I have an AEM wideband 02. Did back road pulls in 3-4 and dialed in fuel using an adjustable fuel pressure regulator. If you are referring to how I am running the larger injectors on a stock EEC, I have ported the vane airflow sensor and tightened the spring for the sweeper x 10 clicks. It's a bit crude and 'back yard' but it cruises around does light load @ stoich, and is consistant 11.5:1 a/f ratio under full boost. It till knocks down around 28 mpgs if I drive it nicely!
wow! Makes me wonder what mine'll do too with a good 8.8 or 9' rear and some slicks. Great vid man, SVO's #1 (well maybe not, ut to svo owners, heck yea!)
aw dang, na dont worry man its cool.. ive just never ran an svo, but thanks anyways, im sure ill come across one eventually lol NICE car again man. -Mike
@imschlodes I am impressed, funny how people tend to say the SVO is a crap car and the 4 bangers in them are useless, swap to a v8 instead, blah blah blah.
What 1984 with a v8 can run 11's and still get 28 mpg
I am yanking the cyl head and doing some extensive port work, as the head on there now was the first port job I ever did years ago and boy oh boy I left a lot in there.. may step up turbo size a tad. Funny this car i still on STOCK EEC and vane meter with spring tightened 10 clicks to run 55 lb injs. I'd like to be 11.50s, then I am done as I am not caging.. car is too low mile and nice of shape for cages etc.. Thanks for the comments guys. Wonder what i'd pick up with a standalone?
and hey btw all my guys that do the standalone (MASS AIR / MEGASQUIRT) pick up around 35-50 horse with it just slapped on and a decent tune... AN ESSENTIAL u must do i would like 2 see ut the car does then, you'll easy run 10's if the cars got enough turbo.
love the sound of the sc!

Wow, I had this exact same car back in the day ('84 silver). I miss it at times, but the upkeep and finding parts for it was a bitch.
