My dog got a black color on it dunno wat does it called... yep yep mine still a 2 months old JRT.. he know how to do a bit trick like sit and lay down.. very hyper.. he barks when someone bugs him. he loves to be in bed. very good guard dog:) even at 2 months:)

I agree with the gaurd dog part- I just got a jack russel because they're small, energetic, and ridiculously intelligent, but my little girl stopped a guy breaking into my house once. He was partway through the window and was about to step through when she alerted the whole household- I've never heard her sound so vicious! Needless to say I'm much safer with a jack russel around. :)

I hunt with these dogs and you do not want to be on their wrong side. Extremely smart and a top predator. If you seen them hunting you would understand their ways. I would not make them do tricks, you mess with one of these dogs and you will pay in flesh. What a fantastic animal. Luv dem!!

Well I disagree on that point. It's my understanding that dogs, like most pets, are a product of their environment and training. No dog needs to be aggressive or dominant if it isn't there job to be so. Of course some dogs are trained that way - or mistrained as the case may be, but it's not a necessity or fact of nature. I have never come across a dog that has been pre-determined to be aggressive by nature. Almost all have either had some sort of trauma, mistreatment or poor training.

@yorkheardt your absolutely, fucking.....correct. take a pitbull for example, they have a very small agression gland, yet everyone says they are always mean. not true, they behave that way because its what they think is being a good dog cause thats how they are trained or treated. The only KNOWN somewhat agressive dogs are Akita's and some singing dog i can't think of the name, and yet that still isn't 100% fact yet.
