I think they are two ways of looking at this album:
1. Expecting a album with the Old Gunz N Roses feel: This will NOT happen, this album shows us that Axl is ready to move on to a different style. If you are expecting a old Gunz N Roses Album, your not gonna like it.
2. As a new, reinventive album made by Axl Roses. This way, you can apreciate his talents. Most of the songs are extremely good, but it takes some time to appreciate it.
Bottom Line: If you expect old GnR, dont listen toit
yeah, i kinda was expecting something closer to the old GNR, this was kinda disappointing, still a good metal song, buckethead's a great guitarist, but slash has more feeling, a more bluesy sound, more melodic, and axl lost his trademark high pitched voice

yeah, i kinda was expecting something closer to the old GNR, this was kinda disappointing, still a good metal song, buckethead's a great guitarist, but slash has more feeling, a more bluesy sound, more melodic, and axl lost his trademark high pitched voice
really, i think this kinda takes away from the guns n roses name, i dont like this, the songs ok, i just dont think you can call this a real guns n roses song

it depends,
if your expecting it to sound like old GNR then you'd probly be disapointed with it,
but if your open minded then you should get it cuz its a great album with some sweet guitaring

The Thing is that in the old GNR, (before the album chinese democracy started) everybody got some slack, example: Slash, Duff Mckangan, Izzy Stradlin, they all were loved together, If i were in that band now, i'de totally leave them.
