  • Ferrari Killer FTW!

  • "Art that you can drive" is highly appropriate.

  • is this the real deal or just a replica, if it's the real deal, then awesome restoration, awesome back then & awesome now

  • Actually, the road based GT40's went up to the 429 Coba Jet engine. Also 1 GT40, that went to Caroll Shelby was equipped with extreme suspension and a 429 Ford "Hemi" so to say. Insane power.

  • no they never had the 429CJ. The 429 was not in prodtion when the MK2 and MK4s were in proudtion

  • you know your rich when a gt40 is your daily driver. good for you they were made to drive

  • @guysmalley Amen brother. Amen!

  • hey klassiekerrally or w/e.. The enjines that usually power ford Gt's are usually 351 c. or the big block 427's

  • i thought they were 289 hipo?

  • The earlier versions used a "small block" 289, and later it was switched to an "FE"-based 427 which is not the same as a "big block", but an entirely different engine family.

I'm not aware of any "originals" being made with 351C engines, perhaps some of the modern kit reproductions of it have used them as they have the same small block bell pattern. The DeTomaso Pantera did however use a mid-mounted 351C.

  • What engine is that then?

  • 7.0L champion the new(er) Ford GT uses a blown 331=5.4

  • ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha

sorry that is very nice car.

  • An amazing machine , lucky you !
