When you look up, in an older game mag or one that does an expository on Final Fantasy, Square, Nintendo or 16-bit console history -- or even just via the internet -- you'll find that nearly all statements about the renaming of FF6 to FF3 are equivalent to:
"In the U.S. Final Fantasy VI was released as FF3." Ultimately this is the same as saying FF6 was released as FF3 on the SNES, but seeing as how the idiot made it necessary for me to trounce him, I must digress again and say that (cont)
SNES = Super Famicom. And here's a real numbers game without using any numbers: game histories say that too. Hell even Wikipedia says that. Its no different than today, except that for better marketing purposes the game console companies don't rename or aesthetically differ the same version of their consoles among different regions (PS2 slim would be a slightly updated version than the original, for example. That's what I mean).
I mean someone who's more of a real statistician (I just use it for science) can number-crunch for us and prove or disprove SNES and Super Famicom are different. I stand that they are not -- not really.

Final Fantasy SIX was released in Japan FIRST before America, and was MADE as Final Fantasy SIX, and was called that on the Super Famicon (der, I know that and didn't indicate otherwise).
ONLY in America / Europe maybe was it called FF3, because they knew it'd be confusing to call it FF6 (same with FF4 renamed FF2) because Squaresoft did not release the Nintendo FF2, FF3 and SNES FF5 games in America back then.
Further, the titles were corrected to what they were originally supposed to be back in Final Fantasy Anthology and Chronicles or whatever for PLAYSTATION ONE, about TEN YEARS AGO.

You mean the ending whith the fall of Guardia and the Disapearence of the Masamune? I unlocked this as the final ending "Beyond times eclipse" on the DS version.

You're right, something about the tone seems a bit higher-pitched than normal, and the flute especially sounds odd. It's the version with the intro that never plays in the game, but I have a different copy that has the intro too. Maybe a bad FLV conversion?

When you look up, in an older game mag or one that does an expository on Final Fantasy, Square, Nintendo or 16-bit console history -- or even just via the internet -- you'll find that nearly all statements about the renaming of FF6 to FF3 are equivalent to:
"In the U.S. Final Fantasy VI was released as FF3." Ultimately this is the same as saying FF6 was released as FF3 on the SNES, but seeing as how the idiot made it necessary for me to trounce him, I must digress again and say that (cont)

SNES = Super Famicom. And here's a real numbers game without using any numbers: game histories say that too. Hell even Wikipedia says that. Its no different than today, except that for better marketing purposes the game console companies don't rename or aesthetically differ the same version of their consoles among different regions (PS2 slim would be a slightly updated version than the original, for example. That's what I mean).

This should be the #1 song because it owns the #1 song into a billion pieces. Also I don't think that Final Fantasy 6 was on the super nintendo, so it shouldn't be counted. Either way, all Crono Trigger songs should be before every FF song cause the game is better than the FF series put together.

Final Fantasy SIX was released in Japan FIRST before America, and was MADE as Final Fantasy SIX, and was called that on the Super Famicon (der, I know that and didn't indicate otherwise).

ONLY in America / Europe maybe was it called FF3, because they knew it'd be confusing to call it FF6 (same with FF4 renamed FF2) because Squaresoft did not release the Nintendo FF2, FF3 and SNES FF5 games in America back then.
Further, the titles were corrected to what they were originally supposed to be back in Final Fantasy Anthology and Chronicles or whatever for PLAYSTATION ONE, about TEN YEARS AGO.

You're right, something about the tone seems a bit higher-pitched than normal, and the flute especially sounds odd. It's the version with the intro that never plays in the game, but I have a different copy that has the intro too. Maybe a bad FLV conversion?

True but let's not sell him too short. He went down a legend and was without a doubt the Queen's greatest champion, recognized even in his own lifetime. His line, "Waste not.. such precious words on me," after having saved the kingdom (in which this title song plays) will always give me chills.
