  • Can u tell me wt time the qantas A380 flys out of heathrow daily?

Im about to watch the singapore airlines flight take off at 10:55 i live right in heathrows departures! :) about 40 mins north of the airport.

My fav airport is Gatwick though, most of my childhood holidays where from there and everytime i go there i get all the memories back its a nice place for me!

  • wasnt the first Qantas A380 flight from Melbourne to Los Angeles?

  • Yes. This was the first flight to LHR.

  • ahhh

  • yes, it was

  • Go home roo ... ... ...

  • ur a legend mate... aussies wanting 2 show off their a380

  • Thanks.

Nice to hear your story about the first A380 flying into Heathrow it must have been amazing to see it for the first time in this way.

I have recently started a new channel mcpcshowcaseHD which features high definition videos. I have one of the QANTAS A380 flying directly overhead (so close I nearly got blown into the main road as she passed by) amongst many others which you may enjoy.

    Thanks again for your comment!

  • Nice , I like the BMI

  • what a beauty

  • if this "thing"

ever fall from the sky with people on board

    please stop flying

i order you in the name of Humanity

  • The QANTAS plane in the video only carries 450 passengers instead of the 853 the plane is certified to carry.

The Airbus A380 is one of the safest aircraft in operation to date and although it would be a disaster if one were to come down the chances of this happening are very small.

As humans we have to push the boundaries. There is absolutely no reason why this plane shouldn't fly.

It has been fully tested and is deemed to be very safe and it seems to be the future of air travel.

  • Just make sure that only airlines with impeccable service and training buy it, like Qantas, and you won't have a problem mate. Give it to Garuda or alike, and you may see your worst nightmare.

  • I'll stick with Emirates

  • hell yea, better than qantas

  • Wow! That's some brilliant footage! I haven't seen the Qantas A380 yet, although I've seen the Singapore Airlines and Emirates A380's.

  • I'm a big fan of all your videos. Unlucky you missed the arrival.

  • beautiful beautiful video. i go spotting at heathrow every other week but never made it for this one!

anyways will get it next time! well done with the vid ;-D

  • What time A380 is Landing or Take off from Heathrow??

  • Currently Singapore Airlines operates 2 flights into Heathrow each day using the A380. The first arrives at around 6am and departs around 10.30am. The second arrives at about 6.10pm and departs around 9pm.

QANTAS currently operate their A380 3 times per week arriving at 6.20am Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday and departing around about 11.30.

Emirates flies in daily at around 11.30, departing around 13.45.

These times may have changed/may vary so you chould check the airlines websites.

  • QANTAS 4 EVERRR !!!!!

  • This is a marvellous video. I love the Qantas colours on the 380.

  • Great video !!! 5/5

  • Nice video mcpcshowcase, in high quality 5* + add in my favourites

  • Great video 5*****

  • Me and my boy were at Hatton cross on sat 17th so see it land. Due to the weather being awful the south Runway was closed and we rushed to the north runway to see it land 40 min late....I still think the SA A380 is better looking.

  • For me it is QANTAS every time.

  • RIP NANCY

  • This really is a lovely videos. I really like the A380 videos.

  • Excellent vid again!Very interesting to see the Qantas A380 in Heathrow!5/5

  • She was definitely the star of the airport yesterday easily outshining her Singapore and Emirates sisters. Very beautiful!

  • Wish I could have seen it!

  • Are you a fan of the A380, QANTAS or both?

  • Both, absolutely love the A380, very happy the aircraft is exceeding performance expectations. I also think Qantas is one of the worlds finest airlines, its fitting that they should fly the A380.

  • I couldn't agree more.

  • QANTAS have recently had some high profile incidents with their aircraft which have understandably put a lot of people off. The law of averages dictates that an airline will experience some degree of incident in its existence, it just so happens that it is QANTAS' turn. The fact remains though that QANTAS is a very good airline and will never put it's passengers or crew at known risk.

QANTAS is a fantastic airline and the most experienced by far. Well done to them for choosing the A380.

  • What took you so long it is now 9.20pm and I have waited all day to see this really beautiful air craft in the livery of one of my favourite airlines of all time. Seeing the weather this morning I wasn't holding out much hope. you have proven me wrong. smashing video 5*. Lovely touch to dedicate it to Nancy-Bird Walton a true pioneer. R.I.P

  • I wanted to make sure that I included the most interesting footage of the day. I must admit I was disappointed at the disasterous start to the day which effectivley resulted in us missing it make an aborted landing on arrival, and then seeing it land on the other runway. Got absolutely soaked through for what I thought was going to be waste of time, but it turned out good in the end. Thanks for your comment!

  • i bet the virgin pilot at 1 17 is thinkin " holy **** im jealous" , which i am right now , mcpcshowcase does aawesome videos , well done

  • Hopefully the Virgin Atlantic pilots will get to fly the A380 in a few years when Virgin start to take delivery of their own A380s. Once Virgin and BA get theirs Heathrow will be one of the busiest airports handling them - perhaps just second busiest after Dubai.

    It's exciting!

  • HEY bro...so cool 2 see that our Auzzi Plane has reached ya shore ae.wicked video bro.love it ae...cool stuff as always.hehe

    byee

  • R.i.p nancy, u were a true inspiration to me .

    x.

awsome vid by the way :)

  • Fantastic video , I didn't realise you don't live in London , that makes your dedication and great videos even more remarkable , so you've already driven 210 miles before you start filming , incredable!

  • Yeah, 210 miles. It's worth it though. Heathrow is definitely the place to be for aviation enthusiasts. I wish I lived closer to Heathrow, then I would never be away from the place :0)

I cannot wait until the A380 starts frequenting Manchester Airport. The airport is currently being prepared for it and is already set to go for an A380 landing in the event of an emergency so it can't be too long away.

Once they do start flying there they may even fly over our house.

  • It looks lovely in the Qantas colours.

  • I will just see what is there. I would like to see a nice ba 747 and maybe my airline that is on my page Air Southwest there. I will only be in the terminal so i will just have to wait and see what is coming. What you want to film at gatwick?

  • I definitely want to film a Virgin Nigeria airplane at Gatwick, they only fly there. BA-747's are very plentyful at Heathrow so have a lot of them in my other videos. I have seen Air Southwest up at Manchester Airport.

  • Cool. I have just looked on lgw website and i am flying from south terminal. I can see aircrafts landing at taking off from 2 different places and i can see aircrafts parked up on stands and see them taxi from 2 different places aswell.

  • You shouldn't be disappointed, Gatwick is a very busy airport so i'm sure you'll see a wide range of airlines/aircraft there. You should check out my other video's from Heathrow if you haven't done so already, I have some highly popular content on offer.

  • finally some good weather. not for long tho. good video

  • The weather was atrocious in the morning. The plane had to abort landing first go which stopped us from getting the arrival on film. Could hardly see anything with the spray and rain water in the eyes LOL.

So glad the weather turned itself around so it wasn't a wasted day.

  • This is a fantastic video. The plane looks wonderful.

  • Thank you :0) She really is a beauty, definitely the best looking A380 in service (for me anyway).

  • This video is awesome. 5*. Maybe you could buy a radio scanner and use that aswell. Just a idea. Really good.

  • Hi, Thanks for the comment!

I do have a radio scanner but decided not to use it with this video. I have used it when the first Emirates A380 visited Heathrow in December.

  • Ok. You are so lucky to live near heathrow. I would love to live there but as you probley know i live in Plymouth.

  • LOL,

I don't live near Heathrow myself either. I actually live near Liverpool and drive down to Heathrow (210 miles) to do my filming.

It's something I am really keen on and Heathrow is definitely the place to be. It's range of aircraft and airlines is unbeatable within the UK.

For instance the QANTAS A380 was today accompanied by 2 QANTAS 747's as well an Emirates A380 and Singapore Airlines A380. LHR is the first airport in the world to serve A380 aircraft from 3 different airlines.

  • So lucky. I am only 14 so i can not drive the only way probley of getting there would be fly form Plymouth - Gatwick then get a couch which is a pain in the backside. Lol.

  • Only 3 years to go before you can start learning to drive and then once you pass you can get to Heathrow more easily. You never know, they might have started the third runway by then!

  • Just have to wait and see. When i go on holiday i will take my camera with get clips and stuff. I am going lgw this year.

  • Gatwick is on my to do list. Would like to film the Virgin Nigeria flight arriving/departing!

  • Superb quality. Not sure who Nancy-Bird Walton is though?

You're little notes wetting our appetite for this video is certainly not a case of hype without merit. Well done on a great video.

  • Nancy-Bird Walton is one of Australia's most famous aviators not least because she overcome the fact that aviation was a largely male dominated business. QANTAS have named their very first A380 after her out of respect for what she has achieved in her lifetime. Her speach at the naming ceremony was very touching and when I heard that she had passed away I wanted to pay tribute to her.

  • Rest in peace Nancy-Bird Walton

  • Beautifully shot from start to finish. I like the way you have been able to capture size comparisons with various other aircraft. The Boeing 747 (Cathay Colours) looks fairly small compared (even though I know it is further back).

Great video. I have been looking forward to this for a while and you have delivered once again. 5 stars and added to favourites.
