  • I think I have a power window motor regulator issue with the rear windows on my 2003 Honda Odyssey, where is that motor located? near the switch on the drivers side door or someplace else?

  • @asfan7 The motor should be on the regulator inside of the door.

  • I have this car and my sometimes click and gos slow. Is this the window regulator?

  • @HollywoodrMr It could be the window motor starting to get weak. You could try to spray some silicone spray on the weatherstrip around the window opening. This should help to speed it up.

  • OK how about same car, but with manual windows??? Its cold as hell !!

  • @tatsamaboogadat The only difference with removing the door panel is taking off the window crank. Here's a video that will show you how to do that. youtube.com/user/1aauto?feature=mhee#p/search/0/dnmPVf4KNcw

  • One step ahead of you.!lol I already contacted your ppl just to verify I was getting the correct pair from you guys.!! Again, thanks I you have my business..!!

  • How do you get to the bolts if the window regulator went out with the window all the way down? Its my drivers side widow.

  • @iluvkip1 You should be able to reach inside of the door and then push the window up with your hand. You can then tape the window in the up position and unbolt it from the regulator bracket. Here's a link to them on our website for your vehicle.

  • @CookeysAnMilk Another thing to look at are the rubber weaterstrip pieces that the door glass seals against. If they are dried out, that will slow down the glass also. Try to spray the weatherstrip with spray silicone, found in the auto parts store. If you end up needing a set of window regulators with the motors for your Honda Accord, we carry them on our website. Here's a link to them 1aauto.com/1A/WindowMotors/Honda/Accord?page=2&&utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=youtube&utm_campaign=1atony

  • Great video! Saved me $100's in labor by being able to do myself. Honda engineering makes it easier too.

  • Hi. Thanks for a very helpful and instructional video. But - I'm having trouble with my '93 Accord driver's window. It will not go up, only down. I can't seem to get just the control panel with the switches to come loose, so I'm trying now to take the whole door panel off - problem now is that even though I have the screw at the handle out, the panel doesn't seem to want to get past the door handle to come off. Is there a trick?

    Thanks

  • @skyhawk0450 We currently do not have an auto repair video on the 93 Honda Accord door panel. You may want to check the door pull for screws, to see if there are any that need to be removed.

  • Thanks for this video - it makes the job seem like something I can do. However, I have a question: If the current window regulator is a cable type (I can hear the broken cable inside the door when I close it) can I replace it with the steel scissor type? There are 3 styles available when I search 2002 Honda Accord (2 cable, 1 steel scissor) so how do I know which one I need before removing the old one? Thanks in advance for your help.

  • @NoFoneClone It depends on which door it is for and if it is a 2 or a 4 door. Here's a link to them on our website for your car. You can copy and paste it into your browser 1aauto.com/1A/WindowRegulators/Honda/Accord/-/-/2002

  • is this how you replace the passenger side to? or is it different?

  • @vampyrickiss69 Yes it would be the same, just on the opposite side of the car.

  • my windows only go as fast as urs (with the new regulator) and my regulators are sure to be old, is this all the faster it goes? because if i put my windows down all the way on my 96 accord, they are EXTREMELY slow going back up... what causes this?

  • i have a question i have a 95 accord and my passanger window doesnt roll down unless i roll it down from the drivers side door, would i have to replace the passanger power window motor regulator...?

  • you are a great person. thank you for sharing all your skills!!!!!! :D

  • do you have any videos on volvo s70 window regulator installations?

  • I ordered this for a 1995 4 door Accord and install was really easy, especially with this video tutorial. Highly recommend this replacement part.

  • Great video worked like a charm for me. Saved me 50%

  • GOD BLESSSSSSSS! you just saved me........200.00......dollars....

  • Hi, my window goes down fine but when i push the up button it stops half way, then i have to pull it up with my hand. i lubricated the track so i know its not that. could it be the motor? When i feel the motor its really HOT.

  • @netboy2121 It may be that the motor is getting tired. You could also try some silicone spray on the door weatherstrip.

  • my window goes up but when it gets close to the top, it would try to keep going and make a rattling noise like a drill when torqe is met. is it juat a lose bolt? My drunken friend hung over the window for "fresh air" while the window was not all the way down. thanks, keep up the great instructions.

  • THIS PLACE ROCKS!!!!!!! never heard of these guys till i needed the part for my 96 accord. Price was great, product works great, shipped in one day!!! video made install a breeze. real customer would highly recommend!! thx!!!

  • Hey my car window worked perfectly.. But then one it stopped working completely and it wont go up or down.. Do you think is the motor gone bad??

  • @MexicanPride171 Check to see if you have power to it with a test light. If you do then, the motor is probably bad. Check out 1aauto.com if you need to replace it.

  • @MexicanPride171 It can be your switch gone Bad it happend to my car Bad switch.

  • hey my window goes up and down perfectly fine some times but others it doesnt work at all i have power to the motor do u recon it is faulty. it makes no sound when not working

  • @d19gys If the window motor is bad, we do carry the complete motor and regulator assembly for a 94-97 Honda Accord. 1aauto.com

  • my passenger window will go down perfectly fine but when it goes up it goes up very slow until it gets about 5 inches from the top then speeds up to about normal speed. sometimes it will also get stuck if i roll it down to much and i have to play with the switch until it rolls up all the way. does this have to do with the regulator

  • @aman9683 It could be both. Your motor is weak and/or the balance spring and joints may be aging on the regulator. If you look on our website we sell the regulator with motor for a good value.

  • my window rolls down fine but some times it get stuck or goes slow going back up,should the motor be changed?

  • @pjunior3692 The motor is weak or the reg is worn out causing the motor to strain.. I recommend replacing both. The combination is available on our site and it is actually a little easier to do it this way.

  • my window doesn't roll down, now i cant go to mcdonalds drive-thru!

do i have to do all this to get it to work?

  • @Aztecakiller You could follow the video if you feel comfortable, or take it to a shop and pay them to fix it or give up McDonalds!

  • Thanks for your instruction, very clear. Once again thanks

  • Why does the drivers side window not work but the passenger window works from the drivers side switch? some times it hardly works'

  • @chingonsisimo1000 Could be your switch, could be your window regulator and/or motor. If it just stopped working then it is likely your switch.

  • Hey Mike thanks for saving me money! Worked great for my 95' Accord!

  • Good instructions. I have a 1998 Accord but my problem is the window can't go up so replacing the regulator and motor is impossible. Any suggestions?

  • @gr8flics Cut the window regulator cable (NOT the wires to the motor) so you can move the window up and down. Use a pair of wire cutters.

  • @1aauto is this process the same as the passengar side door?

  • @BiGMiKe314 Very similar yes.

  • so you use the tape to hold up the window??

  • @Derralllewis Yes, while you are removing and installing the window regulator use tape to hold the window up.

  • Great videos. Love that you guys have a variety of cars that you do these example videos on. This video and the price on the part from you guys saved me about $300 on doing this repair. Also the 1a guaranteed part was alot higher quality build than the original oem part and delivery was free. Just plain outstanding all the way around. Thanks and keep up the good work.

  • Hi im having some problems. ordered the performance regulator/motor from 1A auto, while putting the new regulator and motor in the window slid and fell out of place. i tried lining it back up and got it attached to the unit. Now when the window rolls up and down it binds and gets stuck. im at a loss now, everything looks to be in place but the window isnt rolling up or down right.. the unit works fine with the window detached but once its connected its binding up somewhere.. any thoughts? thanks

  • @Thundagoose Rem,ove the regulator and move the window up and down by hand. Hve a helper move the window or watch to see what happens when you feel the binding.

  • @Thundagoose Remove the regulator and move the window up and down by hand. Hve a helper move the window or watch to see what happens when you feel the binding.

  • Hello my name is Andre and i have a 94 honda accord ex. The driver side window will not go up. How do i tell wether it's the motor or the regulator?. Need some help on this.

  • @andreth55 It could be both. Your motor is weak and/or the balance spring and joints may be aging on the regulator. If you look on our website we sell the regulator with motor for a good value.

  • My son's 94 Honda window motor died. I pulled the door panel off, watched your video and was getting ready to take the motor/regulator assembly out when

all of a sudden I wondered if maybe the safety lock switch was on. Sure enough the windows were on lock. Somehow when he was driving he rested his arm on the door arm rest and turned the switch to off. Therefore, the first thing to test is that switch. I have a question, his car window goes up very slowly, is there anyway to fix that?

  • @halfbonkers The car we have the windows go up very slowly as well. It is probably matter of replacing the motor or the balance spring.

  • @halfbonkers Replace the regulator and window motor.

  • Very helpful; however, when a motor goes is seems to always almost die when the window is down. This means that the bolts attached to the window regulator are not lined up with the holes in the door panel and the window is locked in place.

You cannot line up the two bolts with the holes.

    Thanks, I love these videos

  • @halfbonkers Yes that can be a problem. Usually there is enough room to get in and get the bolts. Sometimes you can unbolt the regulator first then move the window and regulator assembly to a point where you can unbolt the window.

  • @1aauto If you know you are replacing the regulator and motor assembly and the window is stuck all the way down on the regulator. You can take wire snips and cut the old cables from the regulator to the motor. this will free up the window on the old regulator track and you can slide it up to align the bolt holes for removal. It makes removing the old regulator motor assembly easier too.

  • Cool! I havent attempted to fix cars yet but i want to start to keep my mind busy and learn something new. I have a 94 honda civic and I need new regulator and motor.

I know this because I took to mech and the window keeps sliding down, on the drivers side. Because i like to learn new things this looks like a good clean project.

I need a reg & motor for 2 door honda civic is that 64.95 or is that just the reg. I called to get more info but it was after hours. Thanks

  • Awesome video!

  • @dangledog Thanks, glad you like it and I hope it helps out a lot of people. If you decide to buy your parts from our website well that would be nice too! Enjoy!

    Mike
