if you have a xbox with the older dashboard you can make about 300-400 dollars by selling it if you wait you can make more.

There is only 1 way to downgrade your dashboard.

If you are on the Kinect dashboard, download the "update" for the NXE dashboard and then insert the USB or DVD with the update to your console, and it should prompt you with a download.

are all of you fucking retarded never i mean never update an xbox360 with the original dash board because then you can't jtag your xbox 360 and even if you didn't want to jtag it you could sell a console like this for 300 dollars if it hasn't been banned on XBL. Sadly the console in this video has the RROD now, it was a launch console which lasted from 2nd Dec 05 to 24th Sept 09.

i tried to update my firmware (official) and after instalation (or during instalation) i duno, it just went blue on my TV like im onAV chanel with no console turned on, and it wont show me anything, even console was on, and after few moments its showed me 3 red lights. ok, so the update is on my USB drive, i connect the USB drive to my 360 and it tells me that i have to update. about half way through the update, it tells me that i can't connect to the internet, and it cancels the update EVEN THOUGH the update is on my USB drive, becuase i dont have internet on my 360.

Microsoft has screwed with me for the last, first i got the RRoD two years ago, so i sent it in and got a new one, Then the ****ing Vista OS that i got sucks ball, PC crashed after 3 months, then after this "lovely" update my xbox is going in and out of the RRoD state and/or the video gets all screwy.....What have i concluded,....THEY NEED TO FIX THIER S*** BEFORE THEY EVERY RELEASE ANYTHING AGAIN, IM TIRED OF IT, plus i will never trust Microsoft again....pricks!!!!!!

You can now update from the NXE preview to the final version, just plug your network cable/wireless adaptor in and sign on to live.

You will not get banned and everything such as avatars, photo sharing and Netflix will work.

Do you have the latest version of whatever firmware you're using? are you using iXtreme? I think the latest version is 1.5.1 or something like that but I haven't used it in more than a year since my Xbox gave me RROD back in 2008 and I sold it.

You should check in forums and such, most fo them don't get affected at all but some older ones do, make sure whatever firmware you have says it's compatible with the new update.

You wont get banned you just cant connect to live for the next 19 days if you install this, you will only get banned for pirating games and that would be a ban for your console. If you cheat your gamerscore it gets reset to 0. Hope that helps.

Microsoft have confirmed that you will not be banned. they said that anyone not registered for the preview program will not be able to connect to xbox live until the NXE has been officially released on the 19th

yea, but they are also saying that you might have to wait for them to release the official program on the CD because since your xbox can't connect to live, it can't download the update, so you might have to wait for MS to send out the update so you can flash the software on there

How it works is that the NXE comes in two steps. first, there is this step which on the 19th will be delivered automatically through the xbox on the 19th, and which the preview people appear to have got through a insallation file. the second part is the update which allows the console to connect to live, which only consoles registered for the preview program will be able to to download before the 19th. after the 19th, it will be enabled for everyone download the second part of the update

Well idk about you, but on the xbl forums one of developers evens said that people who downloaded the pirated version of the NXE might have to wait for the disk to come out, because the pirated versions were just for shows, to show the press and that it was just used to show it off on standard consoles that dont get used. So you might want to check it out on xbox forums.

most of the versions being spread around (my version included) are copies of a genuine version, leaked from the NXE preview program, but i have installed it onto an xbox that will not be connecting to live, even after the update, so it doesnt matter if it has to wait for the disk. Im gona wait and upgrade my xbox on the 19th cos i dont think i could survive without live for 2 weeks.
