I used to have one of those catfish in my tank, and its behavior was exactly the same.!!! In my country, Uruguay, we can find this catfish in lakes and rivers, they are very easy to catch. We call them "manguruyú", its maximun size is 3" and Its scientific name is MICROGLANIS COTTOIDES,
He would have been about 4 inches if he lived long enough. Unfortunatly he didnt make it, found it dead one day.But yeh.. he sure was a crazy cat! lol
Mine never did that for the 5 years i had him. But sadly he died when i moved.

My bbc did that when i first bought him and then he killed the smaller bbc. Those cats aren't playing with a full deck. They are cool though.

I tried a few... they hid all the time and only came out to eat... until a Figure 8 Puffer bit one in half. Puffers really like catfish. Who knew?

Thats so jokes. My bumblebee only gets out at night and does some crazy shit but nothing that crazy. By the way the tank setup is awesome
