  • Complete episodes at TheElectro94 on YouTube. Elm street forever! :)

  • @penguinswilltakeover Are you in the UK? Because I'm pretty sure you guys are the only ones to see any F.N. episodes on DVD (region 2). If I'm not mistaken the only disc released contained maybe 4 or 5 episodes... There has never been a mass market release of Freddy's Nightmares on Region 1 DVD... (yeah, I know a lot of DVD players will play region 2 but I all ready own those episodes on VHS.) I'd like the full box set treatment.

  • I also own the actual 5 VHS Tapes that Warner Bros Released of the show. Which were the Pilot Episode "No More Mr. Nice Guy" "Dreams That Kill" "Freddy's Tricks and Treats" "Lucky Stiff" & "It's My Party, and You'll Die If I Want You To".

  • This original channel that aired this TV Series was on the local syndicated FOX Channel. The Original Channel that airs "Family Guy". This show started in the fall of October 8, 1988 and ran for 2 seasons, which was then canceled on March 12, 1990. I was 8 years on when this show came out. It aired every Saturday Night a long with "Tales From The Darkside" "Twilight Zone" "War Of The Worlds" & "Monsters". For more information about the show go to Wikipedia and type in: Freddy's Nightmares.

  • @Paul68595 Monsters was the shit but doesn't hold the test of time. TFTDS does pretty well. I dont remember War of the Worlds. Might have to google that.

  • @suspekt29 I've been also recently recording them straight to dvd myself from the Chiller Network. I have quite a few episodes now. They are a bit tame today though. Some are good. I also bought the first season of "Tales From The Darkside" on dvd. But like the other fans of that show, I am disappointed with the changing of the score music in some episodes for the dvd release.

  • @Paul68595 I am not sure why they would flip flop. If they had the go to do it for some, why not all. Does that include credits too? They did the same crap with Married With Children. My favorite Freddy episode was Killer Instinct. I was horrified by how that episode played out as a child. Whoever wrote the script for that, did it right!

  • @suspekt29 Apparently Paramount said it was because of copyright issues on "Darkside", but no, the opening them to "Darkside" is still as it was originally aired and the credits too. My favorite episode on Freddy's Nightmares is, "Missing Persons". "Killer Instinct" is good too. I just recently recorded yesterday "Do Dreams Bleed". Haven't watched it yet, same thing with the episode called "Safe Sex", still need to watch that one too.

  • @Paul68595 Thats a shame. I recorded mine from TV and I am ok with the 7/10 quality. Same as my Friday 13th the series. I dont remember the story titles well. However, I think it was pretty cutting edge how they would split the show into two half hour blocks and people from story 1 would continue on to story 2. Sadly, it just didn't have the budget. Anyone could have wrote a script back then. Hell Brad Pritt got his start there. If you like Freddy you should pick up Never Sleep Again DVD

  • The Reason Why this isn't on DVD yet in The US, is Because The Producers of New Line Cinema doesn't want to release it. But If you type in freddy's Nightmare there's a website that actual Sells The whole collection. I got my copy of the whole series from Japan...

  • @Jamel306 Why don't they (New Line Cinema producers) want to release it?

  • even though the show wasn't that high quality it's still fun to watch because freddys in it. imagine if this show was on HBO back in the day. where they could have shows just like the movies with violence and cursing. would have been huge i think.

  • This theme sounds like Tales From the Darkside. Freddy wasn't having it! lol

  • what channel did this orignial come on?

  • Chiller is on Channel 199 on Dish Network

  • Hey can anybody tell me the name of the font used in the words Freddy's Nightmares? It would be much appreciated.

  • Watch this on Chiller...Corny ass all hell but awesome cuz its from the 80's and hey, its Freddy!

  • chiller(.)com?

  • Nooo channel 299 I believe on time warner...don't know what it is on direct tv though.

  • oh, i found the site. And I dont have that channel ,if i did id watch it alot.thanks for answering me.

  • I've got DirectTV and Chiller is Channel 257. Hope that helps!

  • @BarbDub08 What channel was the show originally on? CBS or something?

  • I like what the voice says at the beginging not exactly what i or anybody else would call a classic but creepy and good nonetheless.

  • I remember when I was living in the Chicago area watching Freddy's Nightmares in late 1989 & early 1990 on WWOR on Saturday nights. It repeated later on NBC after midnight.

    Ahh what good memories!

  • I have this on DVD but the quality isn't the greatest on some of the episodes. I guess something is better than nothing

  • @suspekt29 Where did you get the DVD?

  • @iheartslashers At the time I got them from a trader. They were from the original air date so you can imagine what the video would have looked like after 20+ years. Once Chiller started showcasing them. I recorded them to my computer and made my own DVD. The quality is perfect if you can deal with the beveled chiller logo.

  • I was about eleven when this show was on and I loved it. It use to scare the crap out of me! Why isn't there a DVD box set?

  • @Watchman2012 There isn't? Aww, man! You just went and ruined half of my hopes and dreams for the future! *lol*

  • Great promo and a awesome show.

  • I can't believe I did not know about this show, I love Freddy Krueger, he's the best I've only watched the movies. They need to start making DVD's for this show right now.

  • damn i was like 4 or 5 when this came out but i still remember this

  • I so love the series but will they ever put them out on dvd here it sucks I do what to see all of the ep and I like to see them on dvd. I do not get chiller and it will be nice to see it.

  • Direct T.V has this series on chiller

  • Why did they only release Volume 1 on DVD and then scrap the whole thing? This deserves a full DVD box set!

  • I would love to see this on dvd.

  • Why arnt these on dvd!?!?! WTF!!

  • Sweeet.
