Everyone knows someone who had a rough childhood. Barnardos are in my opinion one of the most important charities. It drives me nuts when people bother with RSPCA before vital human charities like this.
This song is fuori dal mondo by ludovico einaudi.... This advert is beautifully touching, I strongly hope that anyone who has had a distorted passed, has a clear... Bright future.
@jimene89 I'm glad your life has taken a turn for the best, noone deserves a bad childhood, noone... I'm truely sorry about anything bad, I'm enlightened and very happy that you have found hope & fought through it, you my friend are an insperation to anyone going through the same thing
although i got mugged at knife point and jumped by two ASBOS and i slightly do hold a grudge..i kinda feel sorry for them now after this advert..because even though they had no reason to do it..this advert has kinda made me have an epiphany..i think that the people who are ASBOS, chavs etc are actually vulnerable..thats why they do things to other ppl..and now i feel vulnerable..but still..i feel sorry for them more than i do myself.. if i ever see them again..im going to give them a hug period
@nathanpreece Completely agree with ya mate, fully on point. If it was possible to nominate them for an award I would definitely vote for them cause this advert says it all.
An excellent ad: powerful and clever. But - and it's of the variety Sir Mix-a-Lot likes - they're a British charity and should be using British English. That 'like' is a travesty. What's wrong with 'as'? It takes no longer to say, is quicker to type, and is actually correct.
Music featured at the end is the tail end of Ludovico Einaudi's Fuori Dal Mondo (Out of This World), from his album Eden Roc. (Took we a while to find it, so I'll save other people time).
Why is it every time a company like Barnados or the Local Authorities want something they ALWAYS use the word Vulnerable,. is that the only word that the Courts and people are sucked in by?? because if so maybe it is about time they found a new word instead of declining to lie and skank monies of people then pretend that they get none of the various councils when they get way to much and keep getting it, so where has it all gone?? even though they are suppose to be a charity!
@82Roxer I would imagine they use the word vulnerable because that's the most appropriate word to describe a vulnerable person, what word would you recommend they use? Barnardo's do fantastic work and work extremely hard to raise the money they need to run there projects and I for one have never heard of any Charity who has "Too much money" Please think before you post =.= or at least gain some insight & knowledge on the subject matter.
@flyffpaul While I thank you for your answer, you obviously have no understanding of the alliance of the Local Authorities Social Services and Barnados, their adoption targets and how much money they get for every child becomes a PCF 23, but I will forgive you for your blinded innocence because they are not common knowledge unless you search which is why I put PCF 23 because without that they deny it!
@flyffpaul When I say adoption targets I mean as in Forced from loving parents that have no record but Courts accept it as Gospel aka "Risk Of Emotional Abuse" so they are clairvoyant then?? the facts are that they make millions on adoption targets then sucker people in with their lies and pretence instead of the truth but then they pick on "Vulnerable" people so that it makes it easier! if you pardon my pun!
@82Roxer You obviously have your own misguided and misinformed views and there's nothing I could say to change them, however I'd suggest you spent a day or two volunteering or looking up the rest of the work the charity does, as you only seem to recognise a small part of a much larger picture. Maybe then you'd reconsider some of the comments you have made. I will still continue to support Barnardo's and I commend this ad as I think it's emotional portrayal of some of the work the charity does.
This is one of the most creative ideas I've seen in my life, really it got me
