As far as I'm concerned, this song is in the top 5 of grunge songs, period. It certainly was on the radio constantly at the time, and it defines the period perfectly. If it's about heroin, then, unfortunately, that was also a feature of the period. Glad I never got on that shit. Saw plenty of girlies arrive from the suburbs into Seattle, thinking being a junkie was cool, and hasta la vista babies....the dark underside to a SCENE, among some others like EGO. But the song is grunge personified.
