I find that whoever wrote this didn't do their research.

1). If the device is an artificial gill, then there isn't enough surface area or water flow to extract adaquite oxygen to support a fully grown human.

2). Then the other option is electroysis which could be possible with a sufficient power source, but you would have hydrogen, chlorine, and sodium (going BOOM when combined with water).

3). And most importantly, doing deeper than 25' with Pure O2 will result in Oxygen Poisoning - OUCH.
