This playing has no heart, in fact, it is hardly music, but an exercise in prestidigitation. Coviello is obsessed with speed, destroying just about everything he plays. What beautiful music he could make if he kept an appropriate speed, and added any pyrotechnics to the melody as embellishment, instead of forcing the entire piece through his hi-speed sausage machine.

I don't think it's a matter of playing fast or slow but of transmitting or distorting the substance of the piece. Bee, Czardas and others were great. Paris totally missed the point; it's a most sensual, cadential and intense theme not a fingers exercise.

clearly a bit of a debate going on here. Pasquales touch and technique are simply genius, If he wants to play fast because he can why shouldnt he? sounds perfectly ok to me, only my opinion though :P

As good as this guy is, I enjoy listening to Myron Floren play the accordion. Pasquale is trying to impress us with his speed but some songs should be played at a much slower tempo.

I truly like Pasquales playing and he is a fine accordionist but some of the pieces are played far too fast and come out sounding horrible or a mess! Slow down and let us enjoy your fantastic perfornace.
