This version is so beautiful! I haven't heard it before today, but - my god. It's amazing with the piano, and Sting's low crooning. It's like he's lamenting, and it brings out the melancholy meaning behind the lyrics. I love every version of this song I come across, but this is second only to the original. I do disagree with the 'pretentious' comments, because I don't think he is, but all that matters is the beauty of this version.

The piano player is playing a complementary piece, its no ment to be soft, it represents the chaos of the Roxanne and her struggle and as well as stings struggle to get her. its ment to have power within its melody to represent these things. And if you listen, he does hit soft notes, but since its not within the piece he doesn't do it all the time.

Finally found this very unique arrangement of song Roxanne. I've seen this before during their rehearsal on Sacred Love w/c was shown on T.V. Jason is great and of course Sting.
