in england the cheapest i've seen is about £70 thats over $100 not cheap, the tenacious fam come in at a low cost though £30 (ambitious) - £50 (Resilience)
Great review. Love all your videos. Where did you purchase these knives? I have a Spyderco Tenacious that I purchased from CTD a while back for under $30 which I love. Cuts me all the time, but they say it isn't your knife until it cuts you! :)
The Delica is a great edc. I like the shinny new pocket clip. Marbles is a great guy! Your camera does a great job in HD. I am happy your are into some blades now. Thanks for sharing.
The Delica is probably my all time favorite edc blade. The only weaknesses in my opinion are that the pivot loosens over time and multiple opening/closing. And the tip is not as fine as it needs to be for certain tasks (on the sabre ground one anyway). I love the sabre grind though, because it is so sturdy. Great video!
@jokerinthepack1986 I bought a new, black, plain edge delica on ebay. I got a better deal by bidding on a new one instead of a buy it now auction. Altogether it was $46. Look for the seller, "poor fish" That's who I bought mine from, with a good experience.
@cutlerylover hey cutlerylover this has nothing to do with the above vid. But i waant to ask you what do you think of H1 steal. I cant rust but how are the other featuers of the steal?
Do you really consider a $50 knife low cost. Sure i know you said people have different definitions of "low cost" but considering that a Kershaw oso sweet cost $15-$20 and a CRKT Drifter cost about $20, not to mention a Benchmade VEX for about $40. Don't get my wrong I love the Delica, got two my self but it's a bit expensive considering what you could get if it didn't have the little "spyder" crawling on it.
@ThrottleKnife all good knives but the really low cost knives for the most part uses sub par steels compared to the delicas VG10, so yes cheaper, yes nice, but no they wont perform the same, as in hold an edge longer or get as sharp
@cutlerylover Totaly agree with you when it comes to the drifter and oso sweet, thing both of them uses AUS6 steel, but there are a lot of AUS8 and 8Cr14MoV knifes around the $40 mark and even some 14C28N , like i said Delica, I just think spyderco is starting to become like the Mercedes of the knife world, you pay extra for the name.
@brieman2 I am too, if we're talking benchmade, sog, CRKT and Kershaws, as long as they keep it at an acceptable leve, I look at it sort of as a fee on good quality control. I just think spyderco is starting to go a bit over overboard. But I do see why people are willing to pay a little extra, cause they are real nice knifes.
I believe Delicas are a perfect knife for the money.
They don't freak out coworkers like "cooler" knives with tanto tips or Kershaw flippers.
Great size, great price, nice blade, good construction, good handle, good company, and they aren't made in China. An industry standard & classic for a reason.
I have nicer knives but always have a Delica in my left jacket pocket next to my cell phone and pen.
Delica is a great EDC knive.. I have 5 of them( blue FFG, ZDP-189, saber grind etc). Take a Dremel tool to the black pocket clips and make them polished... I have done that to several of my Spydies. Great vid Paul!
Is that steel corrosion/rust proof? That's a nice knife! I carry a cold steel lawman n it's great! Want to get some edc knifes for Christmas n that blade looks nice!
i dont have a delica but i have a byrd meadowlark. which is about the same size blade and handle. you are right its about the perfect size for edc. the endura may be a little to long. i like toting around the meadowlark these days instead of the cara cara. vg10 is great because it also has good rust resistance. i like the meadowlark better because it has a finger choil right before the cutting edge where the delica has handle. i wake my dogs up from bad dreams too. i wondered if anyone elsedid.
You say its easy to sharpen, Iv got an Endura 4 which is basically a larger Delica and I can't get the thing very sharp at all. Compared to my Kershaw Leek its like a butter knife...
got mine on ebay for $55 in Canada. Adds up to about $80 with shipping and taxes

When you say good edge durability, how long does your razor-sharp edge last with standard use?
TheForestKan 11 months ago
@TheForestKan Going on 6 months now still using the same edge, spyderco will sharpen for free when you send it back

@throatkutinjuggalo17 you should try one out and see if you
can break the handles. (might take about 15 years)
