Awesome helicopter. But with rotors above, there is no possibility for pilot or navigator to eject if aircraft is ever disabled in mid-air. Even if possible, all passengers would be killed, so pilot must navigate aircraft to the ground - no option! Safer to be in an SU27 class of jets?

But the Ka-50 has missles that can hit ground targets and the same missles can lock onto helicopters as well. Multipurpose missles aren't a bad idea for helicopters.

The AH-64D has far far superior avionics.

The AH-64D has fire and forget missiles while the Mi-28's are all SACLOS, meaning the aircraft would need to be perfectly still.

And of course the hind has better armour than the Apache.

I am Cuban, and I used to live in a city sorrounded by a large military base, where Mi-24's were always hanging around. I used to run upto the roof of my grandma's house every time I heard the sound of the helicopter... it became so familiar... one day I heard it and I went up to the roof, and saw it coming low over the city, and it passed so low that I almost had a heart attack... I threw myself on the floor like there was no tomorrow.. I will never forget that day xD... part of my childhood :)
