sorry guys, but I just wanna make sum comparisons with the Perez and the Jacksons ok? so the Jacksons & the Perez are both musical, but Joe Jackson was kinda being hard for his sons, especially Michael. As I watch this video, I can't help but to put my family in their shoes. As though I started a group with my brothers and sister. I see how close they are. Just like my siblings and I. It makes me incredibly sad to imagine the heartbreak and pain the family went through when Selena was killed. I lost a cousin/brother when I was 10 and I know the pain of loosing someone... His children did indeed first begin with English. And, had to be taught Spanish. At the beginning of Selena's career, she struggled with Spanish. Even though she sang it, and sang it well. Understanding it was something totally different.

This song, "Cien Anos" has been released on several albums, but the original 1988 version from the album "Preciosa" has not been released on CD. All versions I have heard have been modified, but the original version is beautiful. And she sings it beautifully on this clip. By the way, the original singer of this song was the great Pedro Infante back in teh 1950s, and it is also a beautiful version.

The sad thing about all this is in the way it ended. Abraham Sr. finally was able to realize his dream of being successful in the music business and he did it through his daughter Selena. She was a born singer and the fact that she learned Spanish so she could sing the songs to the people in the Spanish language is outstanding. I wish it could all have lasted, the Hispanic community was lucky to have had Selena, she did so much for Tejano music and for the Tejano female singers.
