  • 3:23 lol the dog!!!!!

  • Craig thomson's or hearts new training anthem anyone?

  • Love 90's music.

  • This sounds like Oasis. Not saying that it's a bad thing though, I like this song :D

  • great song, hilarious video...seeing teenage Fran is priceless!

  • NA NANANA NA NA NAA!

  • aaaaaaahhhhh, i love u sssoooo muuuuuuuuucccccchhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:))))

  • Well noel gallagher nicked the bridge from this for the importance of being idle so it comes back round! Up.

  • Byli wtedy tacy młodzi :D

  • Dude, I'm sure she's old enough by now, go tell her mom to fuck off and date the shit out of her!

  • LOL. Just occurred to me while listening to this song how funny it is that Dougie is married to the actress who played Diane in Trainspotting. Poor Renton might have learned something from listening to this song.

  • i love this one ~~

  • very nineties at the start(which makes it great)

  • 90's was best years for music

  • hey everyone,

I thought It'd be helpful if someone could check my song called "keep on" and give me some feedback, like what you think about the song, does it catch your attention in the slightest.? lyrics? sound? etc....it'd be awesome to get some opinions from you tubers out here.

    Thanks in advance!

  • On the plagurism front.

Wonderwall outdates Writing To Reach You by some number of years.

The Man Who album nods to a lot of their influences. You can hear Pink Floyd in the bass riff at the start of the song 'The Fear' as well as 'Slide Show' mentioning lyrics by Beck, Oasis and The Manic Street Preachers.

  • Haha love this!

  • Just like Noel is called the wisest rock star....i think Fran is the naughtiest ;p.....his expressions are always so funny and mischievous.....great band....love you Travis!!

  • still and always will be a great tune!!!

  • que jovenes estabannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn

  • sexy song!!!

  • i think i just watched Oasis but the title of the video is wrong :S haha great song though :)

  • 2:15 ahaa :D funny

  • Oasis ripped off an hell of a lot of songs; but sung 'em with a more up-to-date attitude i suppose!

  • haha there just aren't enough songs about jailbait.

  • the song is spelled w/o the "s" at the end

  • @twintwin79 - No it has the s.

  • fran tenia pelo!!

  • si... jaja a mi tambien me dio miedo...

  • Great tune!

  • Greaaaaaaaaaaaat!!!!!!!! They were so young

  • yes, and we were younger

  • wit a tune man this tune only made it 40th in the charts when it first came out the 90s wiz the place tae be for amazing bands

  • i use to work for these WHOOOOO HOOOO

  • The bridge from 'importance of being idle' is copied from the bridge of this song.(which is ok cause wonderwall was copied by travis as well)

  • So you're saying Travis copied Oasis or vice versa??

  • both did in different songs. Travis did it with 'writing to reach you' from wonderwall and Oasis did it with 'importance of being idle' from this song

  • @KurtCobainof21 Well I don't necessarily think that TRAVIS copied Oasis. It honestly seems as though it was an homage to Oasis by including the word " Wonderwall" in the song.

  • except Fran Healy admitted to it. And its not the lyric im concerned with, its the chord progression

  • @ADyingAtheist074 No dude im not talking about the lyric, the chord progression is taken from wonderwall

  • its just you :P

  • francis is so cute and i love travis i would be in 90's again!

  • Great song :) would anyone be able to send me it if i post my msn address?

    I lost my travis album :( x

  • could send you the whole album if someone hasnt sent you it yet

  • d'you search travis albums?

  • Cute dogie!...That dog is a jack russell terrier, isn't it?

  • maybe was their little dog

because appers in HAPPY video too

    :D

    that dog likes MUsic xD

  • love this song.

    makes me do air guitar

hopefully someday i'll learn and play this.

do you think it's their own little dog?

  • I LOVE TRAVIS!!!!

Fell in love when I first heard "The Cage"

    Rock On Tavis!

  • TRAVISS FOREVER!! <3

  • God Fran's young in this video. Look at those dimples!

  • not really he was about 25 26

  • oh 23 haha got my dates muddled up there.

  • cuute =)

  • Lol at the dog that comes running in at 3:23

  • Guapisimooooo¡¡¡¡¡¡ :D

  • Maybe it sounds like Oasis but it´s goood!!!

I love Travis, thank u for posting this video..

  • Rockin

  • it really sounds like oasis "definitively maybe"

  • i thought so too i love oasis and travis

    and orson

  • what? why would you go ruin something like saying that you love travis and oasis, by sayig that you love orson as well?

  • haha, exactly. People are right, it does sound like oasis. Not so much nowadays.

  • DjKCraZy thank you so much for posting i love travis!

  • el britpop es lo mejor

  • best album i ever bought and was a cracking year 1997 saw them loads. It sounded oh so much better live!!!

  • No kidding 1997? They looked soo young. Look at Fran, he definitely like a teen flick movie.

I love them. I hope they doing live in my country.

  • where you from?

  • from Indonesia. fyi, good concert here is very little. The best live as I remember are last year muse and björk (i missed those two). No radiohead, no travis (oh and not to mention no one knows travis, I guess) :(

    too many RnB

  • maybe one day they will get over there but they need to get back to writing proper hits again

  • britpop. excelent.

  • Travis should write more of this songs, actually the are too soft

  • Their new album will be the loudest, edgiest and most arresting record since their debut!!!

    coming out an Sept 29th!

    (it says on myspace)

    I CAAANT WAIT!!!!

  • Their best song.

  • their 1st music video hmmm pretty good, like it! :)

  • ohhh u 16 baby!

  • you know, I never quite understood what 16 year old could seduce a man like that. lucky bitch.

  • My favourite Travis song. Never seen the video before though, very good though. I love to play this song as my old band did it and we only had one guitarist, so I played a lead bass solo, it was wierd.

I saw them at a small gig last month, at the end they did requests and they played this after I asked for it...yass!

  • wot small gig was that then and where?

  • They look so young there.

Best live song they have. The crowd went feckin' mental when they played it here in Dublin.

  • I wish they'd do some more songs like this! Good Feeling's their best album by far!

  • At the gig I saw them in they played 40 minutes of stuff to be included in their next album...it was heavier and darker than the stuff from Good Feeling, and probably the best stuff I've seen from them musically.

  • totally man these songs were for the common man those days are gone

  • Not from the UK....couldn't tell ya what's legal over there.

  • yep you got it right

whats the age where you are or is it the same?

  • 16 is the age of consent in the UK. Put bluntly, you can have sex when your 16.

  • explain me "u16"

  • Under 16? I'm assuming at the time of recording 16 was the age of consent in the UK?

I might be way off, so apologies if I am.

  • at the time of recording?? It still is the age of consent!

    And yes thats the meaning

  • Who's that man with glasses?

  • Andy Dunlop, Guitar Player of the band

  • But he is not in the band anymore, isn't he?

  • he still is in the band, but without glasses and different clothing style :)

  • Este tio a tenido algun trauma con una menor...jejeje

  • Comment removed

  • i miss the 90s so much....

  • In this song they sound like Oasis!

  • heeey.........Andy looks so funny, they´re so young here, beautiful song, enjoy...this really made me a day:)

  • 0:30-0:36 FTW.

  • wow they look so young

  • Amazing how far their videos have gone. From an empty hangar to using water slides as a metaphor for giving birth.

  • HAHAHA... Yeah that was a good one!

  • estab bn oasis.

  • Incredible! Are they Travis. This is amazing. 100% 90`s.

  • travis en chile el 4 de noviembre!

  • amo esta banda

    para cuando en Argentina!¿?

  • estuvo el viernes pasado :)

  • sisi fui a verlos estuvieron brillantes !!

  • jaja andy¡¡¡¡ esta re chistoso

  • This song is sooo high school-ish!

  • all the waaaay !!

  • Good old 90s! Look how young they all look here!

  • yeahhh thats roxxxxxxx

  • OHHHHH!!! Is it just me or is there a dog running around in the background?

  • Haha...yep...xP

  • Its the same dog of the "Happy" video

  • probably

  • this sounds a little like muse!!

    cool song!!

  • Travis rocks.

  • simply... :D

  • Great song with a cool music video!

  • Jajaja, the most immature stage of Travis

  • I'm glad they did this kind of stuff, but I'm also glad they woke up and made The Man Who. I much prefer their later stuff, but you have to go through these phases I guess.

  • i like that they can do both! personally i prefer this album but they didn't make the mistake of making the same music all the time *cough*U2*cough*

  • All about taste I suppose. I reckon U2 do some pretty varied stuff, Vertigo is nothing like The Sweetest Thing for example. But you're right, they know what sells!

  • yeah but they were written 13 years apart! dont get me wrong, I'm irish so inevitably i'm a big u2 fan but around the mid nineties you could tell they were kind of getting lazy

  • Guess that's true, but it must be tough to always be brilliant, the same could be said about REM too. I listened to City of Blinding Lights just there, and i reckon it's one of the best tunes U2 have ever written.

  • I'm a big fan of U2 and I really don't they have ever just made the same music all the time. October and The Unforgettable Fire? Not the same. Joshua Tree and Achtung, Baby? Not the same. Pop and All That You Can't Leave Behind? Not the same.

  • .. In the beginning they sounded the same some of the time but far most bands do when they are just getting started. After that almost every album has been very different from the last one. But... I have to admit that the last two albums have ... disappointed me. They can do so much better - they already have.

  • fran's singing and facial expressions always really come THROUGH the screen. he makes it so personal!

  • Totally agree!

  • i love how rebellious they looked before

  • this so rocks and the lyrics are so tru so boys always make sure shes old engough before u blow your mind

  • OMG HAHA they look SO young. And neil with long hair! Rocking song.

  • i think that Fran looks really handsome here and Dougie is so super cute always!! yay!

  • yes too true

  • Wrong, it's Muse who sound a bit like this song.

Anyway Travis kick ass and Muse... stay Muse... all is say...

  • ye i no

  • except that muse was formed before this song got released

  • I know that too

  • Travis are pretty awesome...though Muse are too!

Personally, I can't see the similarities, as Matt has an extremely malleble voice, with impressive falsetto and use of pitch bending...Fran and Travis are cuter though equally impressive!

Muse are fabby live...they were ON FIRE at Wembley!

  • Woow! I soo agree :P I wanted to see Travis this month but i couldnt :( but i saw Muse though :D i hope i will see Travis soon ;) They are the best bands in the world!

  • i think travis is a lot more upbeat then muse, i like both though!

  • It seems like everyone is replying to me. But the thing is that it is all not related to what i said about Dougie and Fran. It is quite funny. And yes, Muse and Travis are really good bands.

  • andy omg u look so strange hear

  • I LOVE THIS FRAN LOOKS C-U-T-E HERE!!

  • I knew this band yesterday. Oh this is really fucking good...

Good harmony, good song, good felling...hehehehe

    thanks

  • Brilliant!

  • Yea it reminds me of early Radiohead too. Tied to the 90's is brilliant as well. 90s British Rock Forever!!

  • Yeah this could easily be on Pablo Honey!

    90's forever!

  • Does this song sounds like if were played by Oasis? I thinks it's just a 90's feeling... Dougie always looks cute!!

  • nice song... cool drum set too

  • Never heard this song, but still it's fooking great! They all look so geeky :P

  • Reminds me of how radiohead are... they used to be all rock and roll then later when all phsycadelic!

    This solid 90's rock. Awesome.

  • this is one hell of a tune

  • The other stuff after Good feeling is good but nothing compared to "Tied to the 90's", "U16 girls", "all i wanna do is rock" live. It rocks.

  • I love it when Travis plays fast-paced songs, though I like "Tied to the 90's" better. But this is such an amazing song, too... Francis Healy looks so great here. :]

  • i love this song it rocks so good

  • fUCKING AMAZING!!
