I'm not for We Are The World being recreated. One thing is that all of the best singers are not on it (Beyoncé, Alicia Keys, etc.). They're missing some key people. Rihanna actually impressed with me with her performances at the Super Bowl Jam. Her vocals were on point and she was actually moving around on stage and had energy.
Fantasia's performance on Oprah was amazing. She always sings with so much emotion.

Generally speaking, when a song is done over as a remake, it is usually a poor pathetic version of the original. But every blue moon the remake actually turns out better than the original. This is RARE but it does happen. Like how Whitney Houston reinvented songs that had already been considered "classic" like "The Greatest Love of All". But ONLY a Whitney could pull that off
So I think we can only judge the project AFTER we hear the end result to see if "We Are The Word" part 2 is good or not.

The original version of "We Are the World" Would have the same effect today as it did all those years ago. Its the true meaning of timeless music and they should have left it as it was. I feel that when the song was first recorded, the people singing it then actually cared about something. These days it is "fashionable" to have a cause. I have not heard the new version and I hope to never hear it.

I'm not for We Are The World being recreated. One thing is that all of the best singers are not on it (Beyoncé, Alicia Keys, etc.). They're missing some key people. Another thing is that I'm tired of remakes. I understand it's for a good cause, and they also want to make yet another tribute for MJ, but it's not worth it. We Are The World was a classic back in the day, and I agree that they should've just re-released it. Don't tamper with original classics.

Fantasia's song is excellent. Loved the Oprah interview. Precious will definitely get recognized though it won't sweep. We Are The World...I wasnt hyped either, but I think JDJ singin MJ will be priceless! Keep making the great vids young man!

Um Rihanna has no stage presence whatsoever. Sry but i wasn't into it..It's the same type of performance every single time..Happy about the oscar nominees i think they earned it!
