I totally agree with both of these comments. How can you judge him on what's going on in his head? Trust me, if you could see into the minds of those who speak little, you would be speechless. The things he sees are far greater than you can fathom.

How do they know whether or not he can hold a complex thought? That's just bogus to assume that simply because he cannot speak like a neurotypical.
