  • aaah i have a slight problem with my video quality... like when i play it back on the computer its all choppy and stuff

do you know what the problem is? sorry to bother you just wondering if its the settings or just the computer XD

  • @Animefan170 Its more than likely your computer struggling to play back the footage, not the camera.

  • @jazzybam No it's definitely the footage, I have quite a decent graphics card and this video was choppy near the end. Might just be my computer but check it for yourself.

  • check my viedo out test video with the same lens

  • dude use focus manually please..

  • I'm sure you've already answered this (too many comments to sift), but... how fast is your lens?

  • Ehh...quick question; what settings did you use for this video?

    ~T

  • This video quality is SPLENDID

  • Lucky git!

  • This video is full of BOKEH!

  • Is this shot with the kit lens?

  • when you d-

  • this is Splendid

  • a 60D canon.

  • i click on it because of the lens not the girl. i have lens but sadly my camera is send to to the insurance company for damage. It felt on the ground.

  • @jazzybam hey love the video quality, I just got me a canon t3i and I can't upload my videos to youtube. I heard you gotta render or compress them? idk but can you please help me how I can do this? I don't have money right now to go buy adobe premiere pro or final cut pro. please help :|

  • @IceBiiRd You should just be able to upload the videos that come straight off the memory card. I'm not sure if the t3i encodes it differently? What does it say when you try to upload?

  • @jazzybam ima try again, maybe youtube was down or something. What are your settings here? ISO? Apature? Shudder speed? & did you recored this 1080p ?

  • @jazzybam if your using them in mac, try opening them up in quicktime, clicking save as, and hitting 1080p

  • @IceBiiRd It works fine for me, straight from the card.

  • @AnthonyTotheRescue ok thanks i'll try again. maybe youtube was down or something :s

  • @IceBiiRd The T3i records in .mov format which should work with Youtube. Try putting it into iMovie if you have a mac and then finalise the video and then upload it.

  • stop to 0:40 :))

  • The girl is splendid....babe!

  • "This is splendid"

  • can you record without bluring the backround?

  • How comes yours isn't making that horrible screech sound when you focus? Is it because you're not using a zoom lens?

  • @DinaIsAZN It's because he's manually focusing. It's not possible to auto focus while recording (unless you change the firmware of course).

  • @DinaIsAZN And come to think of it, if you are getting a "horrible screech sound" while adjusting focus in videos it's probably because you have a non-USM lens (the kit lens for example) and are manually adjusting the focus without changing the switch on the lens from "AF" to "MF" (Auto Focus/Manual Focus)... You know you shouldn't manually focus your kit lens when it's in AF mode right? The "screech" is the AF gears inside the lens screaming at you to switch to MF.

  • @mdma111 I am changing the switch, I have 2 zoom lenses one being the kit lens and both make the screech sound when I am using AF. The kit zoom making the worst noise. That's why I wanted to know if the screech sound would still be heard in AF if I purchased the 50mm 1.8 as I wasn't sure if it was because it's a zoom or what.

  • @DinaIsAZN So just to be clear, the screech sound can be heard in the audio when you play back a video?

  • @mdma111 yup, in AF.

  • @DinaIsAZN Ok, on a 550D it is not possible for the camera to auto focus while you're actually recording a video, the only way to focus during recording is to manually focus. Try shooting another video but double check that you have the focus switch on the lens set to "MF". This is important, it MUST be set to MF on the lens.

  • @mdma111 The 550D does have auto focus in video. It does not have continuous auto focus so you will always need to press the shutter halfway in AF.

  • @DinaIsAZN You can auto focus BEFORE you hit the record button. But once you're actually recording, it's not possible to use auto focus.

  • @mdma111 Sorry, misread your message. I have a feeling we've been talking about slightly different things... You're right, but unless you're using a USM lens it's not practical. And the 50mm f/1.8 has very loud AF, much louder than the kit lens.

  • @mdma111 Like I said before, you can use AF whilst recording. It just sounds horrible without some sort of external microphone. I have this camera so I know. We are drifting away from my original question to the owner of the video so lets just leave it at that please.

  • @DinaIsAZN Switch it to MF

  • Are you using a Filter?

  • @NextSelection671 no filters

  • If I were to use this lens for video and use like lets say f5.6 becuase I want everything in focus, could I do that without giving up any sharpness or great features? I want to be able to focus everything in the scene, and at times have it at f1.8 for depth of field. If i cant do that with this lens what lens do you recomend I use?

  • @ishowyouapple You will be fine with either the kit 18-55mm or the 50mm 1.8 at f5.6 as long as your scene is well lit

  • Do you know, when you.... WHEN YOU WHAT!?

  • Amazing Depth of Field!!! 0:25 to 0:28!

  • This is splinded. lol. Good video.

  • @Izkzmach I have a HP compaq dx2400 microtower which uses vista and a HP Pavilion dm4 laptop which runs on windows 7.

  • @jazzybam comp specs: 3 GB 800 MHz DDR2 SDRAM.

  • That was a kit lens18-55. It doesn't go down to 1.8 unless someone else was filming.

  • Would you recommend this for a first time camera ( i'm a total n00b when it come to cameras)

  • @ArGyProductions It was my first DSLR starter entry level, it's very good! now I use 60D

  • @AldossariEOS

Thanks buddy... those lenses cost just as much as the blooming camera lol xD

  • @ArGyProductions You're welcome mate! I also got EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM, EF 100mm f/2.8L IS Macro USM & EF 50mm f/1.8 II. I'm thinking of getting a super telephoto zoom lens beside the 70-200mm, maybe more than 300mm or using an extender.

  • Is that the Autofocus making that wierd "scratchy" noise ?

  • the focus ring on the 50 1.8 is utter SHIT

  • Splendid :)

  • Your video made me want to buy my 50 1.8 :)

  • how many fps?

  • Which player do you use to playback the video? Mine lags and blurs up on my laptop and computer but plays perfectly on the actual camera. I have tried using Divx, VLC, Quicktime, realplayer, windows media player and some others but with no results :'(

  • @evilbluebear How much ram do you have? Your machine could be struggling to play back the footage if it's shot at full quality

  • @jazzybam is it possible to increase RAM as much as you want by way of buying something to have professionally installed???? if so what??

  • @evilbluebear PC spec plays important role too, before my PC got upgraded I always had to convert it and it affected the quality of the video.

  • @evilbluebear It could be that you might have a weak computer, the movie files to the DSLR cameras are very big!

  • which lens did you use in this video???

  • vlogging can look realy good these days

  • like that girl..

  • you can conect a microphone to the camera?

  • @RobinKeeger You can, yes. I've just bought one but haven't done a test video yet

  • @jazzybam

    Is there an internal one?

  • dual cannon's *jizzes*

  • splendid

  • I liked how you filmed this! Well done! :D

  • This is splendid :D

  • Hey this is fantastic! is this the 18-55mm lense? :)

  • Would I be able to buy a 600D body and this lens separately, and use it in the same way that you have here? I.e do I need anything other than this lens and the camera body to be able to do film like this?

  • 720p @ 60fps & 1080p at 30p.

Does that mean, you get higher definition, but less frames/sec, OR less definition, but more frames/sec ? Why aren't they directly proportional ?

    Thank you.

  • @Jay911able I believe that if they were proportional then non common resolutions and fps would be available, so they kinda fix it to give 720 and 1080, as well as 24, 30, and 60 fps, because nobody cares about 51 fps or 833p (examples)

  • In 360p is cool, in 1080p IS AMAZING!

  • How can I make it 1.8? So it's fully open? I have a 550d but on video mode its stuck on 5.6!! please help someone :/

  • @neekface Dude, you need to buy another lens...

  • @omgtkseth Nah I got it. Just had to hold a button and then scroll. All good now!

  • This is my fav lens

  • do you reckon it's okay for portraits? I have an 80mm on a full frame and it feels a bit too narrow, but my full frame is old so I'm getting a new 550d.

    a 50mm on a 550d with be equivalent to 80, so yeah...

  • How do you import the video from the camera on to your computer?

  • What a fucking great camera

  • really good camera

  • This got 230,000 views for the same reason it got mine: I saw an attractive girl, so I clicked.

  • @MrSaucybottoms Ah, I actually looked because I'm going to buy the camera and wanted to see more quality tests. :P

  • @MrSaucybottoms She Is Hot

  • I liked the video, very natural (:

  • I've two questions:

    - Is this really filmed with an Canon 550D and a Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II lens?

    - Is the canon 550D a full frame or a small frame camera?

    Please answer my questions! ;-)

  • @Snirytors

    1. yes. yes

    2. Idk what you mean by a small frame camera. the 550D and many entry level cameras have APS-C sized sensors which are smaller than full-frame, but that isn't necessarily bad.

  • @TrippyMcgee22 i need to know if ti's a small- or full frame camera because the lens is 1 of that size. I didn't no what size?

  • i have the 550d and im saving up to that lens! cant wait!!

  • is it just me or does this look better than real life?

  • This has a sick shallow dof for such a cheap lens!

  • my guess is you will require lower f. when using 720p, correct?

  • @assified Shooting at 720p doesn't force you to change anything... the only difference is that you can't shoot any faster than 1/60 if you're in slomo.

  • yes, this shall be the camera I want...

thanks for the upload guys! made me dession now :D

  • يااحلوهاا : )

  • is this raw footage? or has this been color correct? and with what programs?

  • please tell me , what is best quality config for this camera , and + i have a original lens .

  • @SvItoJ Depends on what frame rate you want and what you're shooting. 1080 will give you awesome quality but bigger file sizes. 720 will still give you great quality and provide you with a faster frame rate and smaller file sizes.

  • @jazzybam thanks man.

  • @jazzybam , one Question. recording at 1080 (24p) 5 min. aprox. in canon 550 = ( 6 GBs? ), (10 Gbs ?) pliz tell me , how much is consumed aprox.. . (or HOW MANY TIME can i record videos using a 16GB SD CARD , )?

Pd. am thinking to buy a t2i next month but not sure what SD CARD to use later on.. :)

  • @SvItoJ 1080p 24 FPS manual aperature/iso/exposure. try different picture styles as well.

  • @cmstair thanxxxxx

  • @SvItoJ You usually want the largest aperture (lowest number). and the lowest possible ISO. refer to pg 129 in your manual for manual controls.

  • @cmstair only thats only if you want lolbokeh to the max. there is no best "config" for every situation, each picture is different.

you deffinately don't want to be using a large aperture (lowest F-stop) if your shooting a landscape or a street, because you'll get fuzzy crap.

  • Thanks for the video. I am a proud owner of this MIghty Canon EOS 550D But I am unable to record video more than 8 seconds. Can you tell how how to setup my cam for unlimited record time? :) Urgent Please.

  • @ELFuriouss What SD card are you using? The higher the class the better the record time.

  • @jazzybam I am using a 8 GB SD Card in my cam. What do I have to do to Max my video record time ? :-S

  • @ELFuriouss What's it's class? I use a 16GB Class 10 and can record for a few minutes without it stopping itself.

  • @jazzybam I am using a 8 GB Sd card . I don't know how to find out its class. If you 16 gb can record few mins then if I want record like an hour then what kind of space am I going to need please suggest . And what about the class of SD card?

  • @ELFuriouss Class should be shown by a number with a C around it on the card somewhere. Not sure about an hour, maybe by hooking it up directly to a machine? Mine will only record a few 10 minute sessions before it begins to overheat. I'm not sure how you'll get a straight hour.

  • was the lens a Mark I or Mark II

  • did u shoot this on raw footage?

  • the girl is pretty (: haha just saying

  • can canon 50mm 1.8 focus manually?

  • Presss 3 to park for free!

  • a 550d in every driveway...

  • That is awesome quality :))

  • How do you change focus like that while recording? Still learning how to record and for some reason i can't change the focus while recording.

  • @uEih0 All done with manual focus

  • @uEih0 manual focus bro..

  • @uEih0 what camera?

  • @uEih0 you dont deserve an dslr if you cant focus

  • This video are scaled to 1080p ? Because 550D don't film in 1080, right ? '-'

  • @BankaiNoJutsu 550D can record 720p at 60fps and 1080 at 30fps

  • @jazzybam how can i change it to 720P?? and how can i edit it by not changing the format of the file..

  • oh my days, i love y'alls accent. holy brown cow. this is splendid :)

  • ok she is cute

  • very nice video. ive got the same lens and camera but you have a lot better colour and sharpness, what filter are you using and what software?

  • @CrazySourcePlayer No filter, no software, this is straight off the camera

  • @CrazySourcePlayer Simple, Low ISO and really good light

  • @CrazySourcePlayer If you cant get the same color, it's probably because of the lighting. I'm guessing they're shooting this video right before the sunset.

  • @CrazySourcePlayer try adjusting your shooting mode and white balance

  • this isnt Springfields in Spalding is it lol? :L

  • @MattRoCkShOw Yep!

  • @jazzybam hahaha sweet! i live like 10 mins away! what are the chances of that :)

  • @MattRoCkShOw Which spalding?

  • @TacTzords the one in Lincolnshire, England ;)

  • @MattRoCkShOw Ah kewl, my gf's step dad lives in Spalding. I live in peterborough.

  • @TacTzords haha sweet! i go to that big shopping center all the time haha :D

  • @csruinedmylyf Sorry mate, that's my friend using a 450D with a kit liens. I was filming on the 550D with my 50mm.

  • Comment removed

  • @csruinedmylyf It's rather obvious that he is using a wide aperture, so there's no way the 18-55 is on.

  • @csruinedmylyf what a dunce you are... KKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK

  • 0:23 you can hear the sound of the lens while focusing on her.. but still its quite fair enough for a cheap lens so im buying this :D

  • 0:34 "Hy HY YYY Hyhy" EPIC!

  • Parabéns pelo vídeo peço que assista ao curta que fiz com uma canon t2i e ajude a divulgar

    obrigado!

  • just watching random test videos :)

  • "this is splendid" haha

  • howdo i get this in america? does it have the same name?

  • @rainbeforetherainbow It is called Canon 550d also Rebel t2i in America you can buy it from amazon .

  • @TopSpeedGear thanks! one more thing, how many lenses do you recommend buying?

  • @rainbeforetherainbow Depends on what you record and how much you record i woudn't buy too much if only for fun . I would by the (inc 18-55 mm f/3.5-5.6 IS Lens Kit) first then maybe try others :) .

  • ah. splendid !

  • If you're 20 minutes, it's free. It used to be half an hour but then I came too many times.

There's always a dirty side to everything

  • 24 fps?

  • the focus option sucks , really , i sold my 550 after 4 days.

  • @MichaelJacksonSpin Most people manual focus regardless of camera body or lens, don't know why you sold a perfectly good camera.

  • @MichaelJacksonSpin Did you buy a DSLR camera for video?, cos that would be stupid XD

  • @boy3600 yes, many people does that. so what your saying that it is ALOT of dummies , wtf

  • @MichaelJacksonSpin That's the curse and beauty of the dslr. If you can't focus for shit, might as well sell your soul to the devil.

  • @BallpenEater Are you drunk

  • @MichaelJacksonSpin I'm 15...yes
