the politicians says that the world is overpopulated, and trying to deliver out condoms etc, try to pay by phone to give them more condoms and food,and now, that some off the over populated areas are solved..with an awful catastrophy, I know :(they want money for other things...I watched the doctors, they do a great thing! for free :) I have enough helping people here who needs help. this is not ment to be negative, but we have to help our towns too.

@goldieloxgrl.. it's so easy to say go on welfare, do u know wat welfare pays? 2 a fam of 2 in california the max they'll giv u is $500 a month, in america that doesn't even cover the rent! Haiti is getting GLOBAL help. If we can't even rebuild our own backyard how can we help others?

@goldieloxgrl New Orleans people can go on welfare, medicare, medicaid, and other programs in America to help people in New Orleans. Haitians do not have that option.

I'm glad I'm not the only one feeling this way! You are so right on Goldieloxgrl! Almost 5 yrs later & that area is still so deeply depressed...whole sections of Jefferson Perish just to name one are still just sitting there destroyed. There are still ppl living in a FEMA trailer...or homeless! I'm not saying not to help Haiti...but charity starts at home...when there is not a hungry child or a homeless person here...that's when we can send thousands & thousands to Haiti fix N Orleans first!
