  • Knob Creek Whiskey? I laughed.

  • The world is FULL of assholes, you are going see assholes for the rest of your life, everywhere. However, there are lots of good people in the world.

  • The mist had the stupidest fucking ending ever

  • its weird watching this because i like fat men..

  • reading the book. when i got to the part of Stan killing himself, i laughed my ass off, "It....and they can figure out the rest"

  • I thought that this was a Fucken scary movie but now I LOVE THIS F IN MOVIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I had a big crush on Emily Perkins!

  • Why did the elephant in the room pop up when NC mentioned Johnathan Brandis (however it's spelt)?

  • @w3irdo13 He died :(

  • @w3irdo13 the two reasons I can come up with are: 1) he died in 2003 and 2) he starred in "The Neverending Story II". The former seems the most approriate.

  • the camera's purty

  • For some reason, all the bad things happen in Maine, first several Stephen King books and movies then 4 stories of giant killer crocodiles

  • Why Tim Curry, why did you have to stoop to such an alltime low playing a fucking clown

  • its the air... the derry air

  • why would that kid in the beginniing even talk to a guy in a sewer? if i were a kid and saw a guy talking to me from the sewer . i'd have enough brains to walk away and tell someone. that is one stupid kid, no offense

  • I couldn't' take any drinks for the Booth at the End. I'm underage... but that's not the point...

  • lol 15:50

  • when i was a kid and i saw the movie it i never wanted to got to the circus again

  • 8:01 YOU'LL CAN RENDOHARL BAGGEAR BABBY! WENOFARGADAUL WHIPPAR SKINNOFFAYOO!

  • well s king does live in maine. and its actually a very scarry place. besides the amount of obese rednecks that live everywhere besides Bangor. which is like tokyo compared to the other trash heaps in lil canada. i mean maine

  • I can do you one better, Critic: The Stephenie Meyer drinking game.

    Rules:

Drink whenever you feel the need to facepalm/roll your eyes/laugh at its crappiness.

I guarantee you, your liver will cease to function within twenty minutes.

  • Petafile

  • "Mike, the only black guy in maine." XD

  • The thing about the incessant stereotypes makes Pennywise an almost likeable fellow, as the girl in the beginning, the 60 children killed in the explosion or the hundreds of children eaten over the years would have gone on to be just as kind and decent as their parents.

Come to think of it, this is like some note for a mass murderer: "Must die! Must die! etc."

  • @perplacymp just remembered the line from "Holocaust" : "We had to kill the children, because..." end. Quite fitting really!

  • Man it seems that in Stephen King books most people are just insensible, hateful, unnaturally mean and only out casts are kind and some are just so soulless that they do just horrible things sadistically and evilly. Stephen King, why is most of the characters in your story either religious hypocrites, unreasonably mean, Alcoholics, or Insane. Also in some of his books you can see how a character is religious but static and unmoved and usually consumed by religious superstitions and are hateful.

  • I have to admit there are points you wanna look away but there also points I would laugh

  • ...And another example of this movie losing its edge - Bev's beating was actually *intensely* sexual in the book (seriously, the guy got off on it), and went on, and on, and on. Oh, and you find out later that the guy was actually a manifestation of Pennywise - something that is never, ever mentioned in the movie.

  • @SecretTimeWarp Oh wow I fogot all about that. Also the shower scene this clip ends on isn't even in the book. In the book Eddie encounters It in or near an old house and it takes the form of a leper.

  • @LibraGamesUnlimited Yep - if I recall, IT as the leper emerges from under the porch of the house on Neibolt Street. Except for Stan's stupid mummy encounter, that house has absolutely no role in the film... which is sad, because the scenes set there in the book are incredible. I think there's a long sequence where the kids explore the house and not only do the rooms change size, but Pennywise comes out of a toilet.

  • @SecretTimeWarp Yeah I think I remember that (been awhile) I also think that Stan's encounter in the book was actually a giant bird because he was studying that birdbook so much.

  • @LibraGamesUnlimited Believe it or not, I think *Mike* saw the giant bird, in a junkyard. But I could be wrong.

  • @SecretTimeWarp Really? Then what was Stan's vision? I don't think it was a mummy. What was it then?

  • @LibraGamesUnlimited I just checked the book - I was right, Mike saw the bird. I can't find Stan's though... I just remember it involved him hearing carnival noises inside the Derry Standpipe.

  • @SecretTimeWarp Yeah according to wikipedia (as much as you can trust wikipedia) it WAS a mummy in the book too (inspired by the original "The Mummy" movie) but I honestly don't have any first hand memory of this. Of course I read this back in the 90's right after the movie aired and haven't really re-read it since so my memories on the subject are not all that clear or trustworthy. :)

  • @LibraGamesUnlimited OH! And speaking of Stan and his birds.... the film makes no mention of the Derry Standpipe! Damn... the more I think about it, the more I realize how the best parts of that book were just thrown out entirely for the movie. The glass bridge at the library, Bill crawling inside IT's body, IT burning down the black nightclub... what a total waste of a story.

  • This movie has no edge, at all. I mean, look at the knife scene - in the book, Henry slices Ben, and Stephen King being Stephen King, goes on about blood running down his underpants. But in the movie, NOTHING. AT ALL.

  • 3:50 - 3:58 yeah they fucked up wth the mini series/movie, gotta read the novel or use wikipedia to find out what it is and where it came from.

  • Not a good movie, but an amazing novel.

  • You never actually see how Georgie dies in the movie. In the book, Pennywise pulls his arm clean off, so it's understandable they don't show it. Would have been nice to at least hear about it though.

  • @JesterUK2 Its is mentioned . When eddy is telling Ben about Bill's brother he mentions that Georgie had his arms ripped off like a fly

  • @Jargas

Oh. I don't remember that. Guess I just wasn't paying attention.

  • I Just took one shot of Tequila, and allready im flying.

  • he he bloody boogers

  • ICP!!!!! :D

  • he should of taken a drink for the *christian duty thing*

  • It's one thing I have noticed about Stephen King's stories, everyone is either a villain or a victim.

  • What's wrong with Maine?

  • We want more drinking *Hic*......sorry

  • @Casablanca4381 my sentiments exactly.

  • Good Book, Bad Movie. Happens every time.

  • @KeselowskiTheMan Especially in this case

  • @KeselowskiTheMan KISS ME FAT BOY!

  • @KeselowskiTheMan Cough ... Jurassic Park ... Cough ... Jaws

  • @KeselowskiTheMan except for LOTR

  • @KeselowskiTheMan jurassic park too?

  • @KeselowskiTheMan Well at least LotR got it right (for the most part).

  • oh my god it is seth green!

  • was thinkin of doing a drinking game: one shot for each moment of unintentional laughter in breaking dawn pt. 1, but pretty sure all involved will need a new liver in the end

  • I hate clowns :-(

  • 0:28 i liked the mist... =(

  • well it is stephen king

of course a large portion of the characters are going to psychotic in some way

  • I WANT MORE DRINKING GAMES!!!

8 shots. Haven't gone down yet!!! But typing this post is kinda difficult!!

  • I wish I had a Hoe-on-the-Go!

  • .... *Hic.*

  • He skip a part, the clown hurts him 06:44

  • first of all

R.I.P John Ritter, loved three's company

    and second

    damn seth

  • The book wasn't bad, it was a lot scarier imagining It than actually seeing It in the movie.

  • What the heck's the deal with evil clowns?

  • This movie gave me nightmares lol its not even that scary.

  • Although apparently this movie version is retarded.

  • Heeeeey I like Stephan King

  • @CandyMonsterville if you liked him you would write his name the right way

  • Yes but the question is...

    Does It Float?

  • i never get the top comment :(

  • okay not gonna lie the clown just RANDOMLY coming up in the sewer drain, 0_0 it game me nightmares......

  • What I have learned from Stephen King novels is NEVER GO TO MAINE!!!

  • I guess the reason why everyone fears this movie: Pennywise/It the Clown.

He was the reason why many began fearing clowns, lucky for me I never saw the movie (watch this as a kid and you'll be scared for life of clowns.)

  • I love NC's Space Balls referances.

  • balloons ain't scaring me, they make me happy :D

  • Reminds me of pet cemetery another SK movie. I was afraid of putting my heels near my bed for weeks cause of the scene when gage kills the old guy. Keep it up NC

  • what the fuck ever happened to stranger danger

  • the stepen king drinking game!

    o-o but im a mormon...

  • @woodlefoof2 quickly flee youtube! there coming the trolls GOD RUUUUUNNN!!

  • Well, I think Stephen King is quite overrated, but he also has written some great stories. The IT novel is very good, but the movie is just stupid and cliche at some parts... even though we've gotta consider it was made in 1990 if I'm not mistaken. It could have been much better. The fact is that SK's novels are supposed to be DISTURBING, not SCARY like the kind that make you scream and have nightmares. It's hard to put that on a movie. Anyway, always love the NostalgiaCritic!!! ^^

  • This movie actually kinda scared me

  • AND A FUCKING CITY CALLED DERRY!!

  • there are actually 2 maines. one in america, and a small village in Ireland called maine.

  • Goatse @10:52

  • Oh just so you know the clown in IT is suposed to be the kids manafested fears.Oh & I fined you FUN AS SHIT!!!!!

  • Sorry for getting all serious here but the movie does suck when you break it down like that, if you watch the whole movie without someone making fun of every scene the movie is actually pretty freaky. Still though, funny video! I love this movie but I don't mind laughing at how absurd a lot of it is.

  • There's one Stephen King cliche that NC forgot. One of the main characters (In this case, Bill) is a writier. That seems to pop up in almost every single book Stephen King was written. Examples include Jack from "The Shining" and Paul from "Misery."

  • I was a kid when I first watched this movie, and IT was easily the scariest horror movie I've ever seen. It's also the last horror movie that I've seen that has truly scared me, and though I've seen it a dozen times it still creeps me out, it makes every other movie since look tame by comparison. If you don't like this movie, you just don't like horror movies period.

  • Is anyone else having problems bringing up the Nostalgia critic website?

  • @mattsmt20 only now, but it's a big problem seeing how it's almost CHRISTMAAAAAAAS!

  • @AceAttorny I have had this trouble since before Thanksgiving dont understand why I cant get it open

  • @mattsmt20 yeah i am. its been happening for the last three days. the thing is none of his really new stuff is up on youtube or i might not mind it so much. its getting annoying. i am sorry other people are having problems but i am glad its not just me. i dont know what the deal is but someone should get on his website who still can and let them know something is really messed up with it

  • @mattsmt20 go to bliptv.com

  • @mattsmt20 fixed

  • @mattsmt20 yes

  • @mattsmt20 nope

  • @mattsmt20 Doug (Nostalgia Critic) has been having virus problems for like a couple months now, so the site is down on and off. But if if IS down i think they have all of the nostalgia critics, nostalgia chicks and linkaras and everything on BlipTV dot com just in case. and they load faster there too usually

  • Hey, there's no top comment.

    Good.

  • Nistolgia critic should do alot more horror movies, THIS is an awesome way to watch horror movies XD

  • That clown was so SCARY...........APOX

  • this movie does sound scary...

  • To think I was afraid to watch this when I was a child. Nothing to be scared of.

  • The book is way better

  • Where can I find the REAL nostalga critic's videos?

  • @jacobsblog

    Go to his website.

  • @jacobsblog on the site thatguywiththeglasses

  • What was the joke with the elephant about? Someone explain please.

  • @GonzoSteel Johnathan Brandis killed himself and also drank heavily. So the "elephant in the room" is that a drinking game might be in poor taste.

    ...at least, I think.

  • @kingturkey2 I figured it was an elephant in the room joke. I just wasn't sure. And even if you're wrong, I'm going to pretend you're right because it made that part funny.

  • @GonzoSteel Yeah, it is an elephant in the room joke. Also a reference to the Neverending Story 2 review which also had Jonathan Brandis in it.

  • Who else here thinks he should do Bicentennial Man for his 200th episode.

  • 05:04

"You're dead, fat boy. How dare you be fat and make me insult you and then get me into trouble for insulting you. That's somehow your fault. Your ass is grass."

  • I watched this last night on Halloween, and I'll say it was decent enough. Though not really scary, it definatly earns points in the creepy department, and, as NC said, Tim Curry is pretty good in this. So... yeah, while not the best film/mini-series, it's definatly worth a watch every now and then.

  • this video is epic! except for one thing.....

    Im from Maine

  • too drink to cemmont

  • This used to creep me out! But, now, the only thing that scares me of this movie now, is that this was based of a True Story

  • @The3ninjakids Well obviously not with a supernatural killer clown which can shapeshift into one's worst fears, nah, that part's fictional (or is it...?) but the real story is Grady or summat, he lured kids to his house at Halloween and killed them when he was wearing a clown costume. I think it was Robert Grady. And also some homophobic bullies in Maine really did torture and beat up a homosexual teenager, just like in the beginning of the book

  • @ScarisClaudius The Clown just went to peoples houses and Just sat there, acting like a toy

  • @The3ninjakids hey im horney do u want to suck my cock

  • @conrod15reveiw NO! WHY THE HELL WOULD U ASK THAT?

  • @The3ninjakids sorry i got hacked

  • @conrod15reveiw by who? An Old Friend?

  • @The3ninjakids ex girlfriend

  • @conrod15reveiw She's A bitch then

  • @The3ninjakids i no

  • @conrod15reveiw y'd u give her ur password?

  • @The3ninjakids bcuz i kept on forgeting it and needed sum1 to tell me it

  • Like, NC is clearly an alchie, lol.

  • @GroverKent yep

  • @hunkules90 Aw Don't worry man you'll get laid someday :)

  • me and my friend made a drinking game where you watch Avgn and you take a drink every time he cuses needless to say but went through 2 whole 12 packs of pepsi in 18 minutes

  • All sort of surprises hmmmmmm..........

  • Floating fedish

  • everything floats down here

  • I love it when I randomly watch something old and it happens to fall on the present holiday!

  • We don't play the drinking game, we play the stripping game.

Every time instead of taking a shot, you just take off one article of clothing( obviously XD).

  • why did the clown want to kill kids I'm still trying to get that

  • @MrDwightlee

It's a spider really that feeds on kids, I think.

  • my face for the first 2 and a half min of video -_-

says The the insane clown posse :)

  • god im drunk...

  • HEY... Tim Curry was great in this!

  • I used to be terrified of horror movies as a young kid then I watched a few and none of them scare me but they are still fun to watch

  • I wasn't scared of "pennywise", what I was really scared of is the close-ups, I mean really, I was drinking my water not looking at the screen, whenever they close up I spit it out....

  • I watched the green mile and Shawshank redemption. There really arent that many cliches in that one :S

And in Misery they only Cliche is the Writer :P

  • The book was WAY better. I couldn't put it down, King has alot of great books. My favorite though has to be The Eyes of the Dragon. It could be a great movie but will probably end up another shitty TV mini-series.

  • i love this movie the book was to damn long

  • this guy used to have a youtube channel and if he did what was it called

  • Comment removed

  • I give NC a lot of credit, but Pennywise still scares the everlovin' crap out of me.

  • I know Biollante was released in 1989 in Japan but 1990 in America.

  • 1990 was a weird time for movies.

Rocky 5, It, Godzilla Vs Biollante, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Rocky 5:It had Rocky Balboa NOT fight in the ring.

It:It's a Stephen King movie, they are strange.

Biollante:It looks like it could be Japan's Little Shop Of Horrors.

TMNT:Ummm.... Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles who like pizza and have a RAT master.

  • i want a crossover between IT and a clockwork orange.

  • @sephiroth8261 Holy shit that would be awesome. By the way, Alex from A Clockwork Orange did the drinking game with milk. :P

  • i did it with pop since im not old enough to drink. lol.

  • RIP Jonathan Brandis

  • You know who else would like it down there? Beverly.
