Hi guys. I'm from Poland and my english is not as perfect as in this song, so i don't understand all words. Can anyone rewrite and send lyrics of this song? Please! :)
beautiful lullaby, well done sinéad such a celtic lilt and well deserved nomination. so uplifting and soothing, makes you want to lay your head down. glen close you de biz. now want to see the movie. go the irish
lovely. imho, "only you" from the movie young victoria and "you made me the thief of your heart" from the soundtrack of in the name of the father are just as good, but hardly got any recognition.
Beautifully done, I never knew Glenn Close was into writing. Sinead O Connor did a great job. I hope this begins a new chapter of her life for her and her family.
Time for some good news for the Irish. Young Irish Composer Brian Byrne left Navan for LA a few years ago and is now nominated for a Golden Globe for best song. Brian composed the song ‘Lay Your Head Down’ [for the movie Alebert Nobbs] which was recorded by the RTE Concert Orchestra. Actress Glenn Close wrote the lyrics and Sinead O’ Connor sings. Would be nice to raise awareness of a local lad done good.
'Also may I say how delighted I am for Glenn Close and Brian Byrne on their nominations for the golden globe for the song called lay your head down. It is a beautiful song and they thoroughly deserve the nomination.'
can't wait to see the movie. The song was what appealed to me most from the trailer, and I've been looking for it for a while. Thank you so much for posting it. The singer has a fantastic, whispering voice, I hope to hear more from her.

Snubbed by the Academy Awards... what a load of crap. This should've at least been nominated for best original song...

This movie made me so sad. I hate how Helen was using "Albert." I cried. It was a great film though and the acting was awesome.

I'll put it simply: This is beautiful. That is not an opinion; it is a statement of fact.
