Wow! I went to work selling for a high pressure Chevy place with terrible turn over of salespeople (chew 'em up and spit 'em out.) in the late 70s. It should have been like this! This is far superior,
It's sad to see what has happened to the art of selling. My 80-year old neighbor sometimes talks about how it used to be. In his words, "salesmen used to have a smile on their face and spring in their step. They knew how to sell, and they liked their job." The same goes for Chevrolet. How the mighty have fallen :(
Door to door cold calling for car sales? Wow, that must have taken some fortitude. But here's his problem, look at the houses, seems that people in that neighborhood would be much more interested in Cadillacs or Buicks.
This is a very useful video for any aspiring sales person and sales managers. 70 years old but still current in the things that matter. I really loved the fact that he is knocking doors selling cars.
I like this! Even though I'm a woman and they talk about "men", I get it! I'm new to car sales. Only been selling for 3 months now and business is SLOW! Getting some thoughts on prospecting is helpful. Thanks for posting.

$390 was what the dealer was giving for his 2 year old Ford. $390 in 2010 dollars is about 6,000.

Sheesh... even I would buy an American car for $390...

This should go hand-in-hand with Alec Balwin's speech in 'GlenGarry Glenross' as the common-people's guide to sales!!

Chevy used to be a great brand. Now, just mediocre product for mediocre people.
