  • He wrote these songs so he can murder them all he wants whilst his ex-bandmates play Butlins for a bunch of fat, old, bald mods who cry themselves to sleep at night because The Jam broke up 30 years ago.........

  • a was at this gig it was amazing

  • One of the most coolest songs from a great record!

  • stevie white-proper drummer, steve craddock-average-guitarist, the other guy-nondescipt, weller-priceless

  • u say steve craddock is an average guitarist , bollocks he is amazing if u realy thought that much of weller you would know that he would not just choose an "average" guitarist to play lead for him all theese years. you are clearly an idiot

  • part 3

although weller really puts his heart in it

but he is just doing a tribute to the small faces, who did it best

just like the jam did it best altogether

    anyway enough of the ramblings

apart from buckler did alright on the gift..

listen to steve white on this track he sounds a bit like he's bashing pans !!!!!!

  • @daveyoungmusic this is'nt a small faces song???? it's from setting sons and wrote by weller......check your facts first m8.

  • part 2

    its a shame really

cos From the Jam buckler and foxtons band sound tight as fucx

although i also love weller solo and style council work

seen the council several times and saw there last gig at albert hall (so anyone who knows about his stuff will know that he keeps moving on)

great cos his soulful stuff has been great

the first solo album is the best but far (no arguments)

but anyway back to the main point

there is only one man who can sing tin soldier

  • i love the jam saw them to in 82

weller said he wont get the jam back together, but still murders great songs with this band

  • His Lordship's greatest song.....the mood fits now....it ain't 1979 and Weller ain't 20 anymore.Get it?

  • neilb you must be a spice girls fan ! lmao

  • psudonymos it's entitled not intitled, are you misterpunks relation because he's an arsehole

  • i take it thats OCS backing him, sound like a cruise ship band.

  • misterpunk is intitled to his opinion! nothing paul has done since the jam has measured up, the jam are 1 of my favorite bands and this is weak as pish... hang up your guitars lads.

  • misterpunk you nobhead, bet you've never been to see him live, the whole band are awesome, you dipstick :)

  • no I'm not, fartybreath! :-)

and whitey still murders this song! plod away!

  • Hey maaan, if you listen to the annoying souless 'bash bash bash' of the drums on The Gift album then you know why weller moved on from the jam, dig the new breed..!!

  • this is plod rock at its worst, he should bite the bullet and reform the Jam, there's no energy/passion in this performance. that drummer is crap.

  • misterpunk is a tosser!!!

  • ignore these idiots your right duke! if they cant see it what do you expect them to say? the jam rule!

  • The reaction of the crowd to Weller playing Jam tracks is always amazing. The legacy of that fantastic band will never fade. I was at the previous night's Apollo show and it was worth the admission fee for this song alone!
