i have sins of a galatic empire, and it works, but i cant see any deatail on the ships...they are pure black, and there are no weapon graphics for the lasers (i dont think), did i do something wrong?

That's probably because Sins is space combat only. EAW had land and space, bad land battles too.

I downloaded the mod today, but for some reason it doesnt work. After I enable it and go to Single Player, there are no maps in the map list. When i disable it all the maps come back. Can somebody help me? Send me a private message, please. Any help is appreciated!

Blood, because of the current version, the modified maps don't work with SoaSE, so you have to go to the SOGE Folder (usually C:\Documents and Settings\USER NAME\Local Settings\Application Data\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\Mods-v1.15\SOGE) and delete the Galaxy folder [which is the map folder]

I've been working on a SW mod for SOASE for a while now... and while I admit they did an amazing job on the models... I'm surprised at how much they left unchanged (music/text/maps). Was kinda disappointed... but good try. God bless your modellers.

What space game should I get? This, Homeworld 2, X3?

Your main debate should be between Homeworld 2 and Sins of a Solar Empire. It highly depends on your style of gameplay.

The "hyperspace" routes in Sins really give it an almost turn based feel. The game is a lot more strategic in terms of economy and building.

Homeworld 2 is a big battle. (it too has a good Star Wars mod). It is pretty good at battles.

Overall, Homeworld won't give you the epic scale and proportion of Sins. I, personally, would Reccomend Sins.

You have to get one of the Acclamator frigates-I think it's the type II. In the description it says it's fitted out for ground assault. Really everything bigger than a cruiser should be able to colonize though.
