  • @anonismorefun The only puppets are the idiots at the OWS who just repeat their angst about anything non communist or socialist. They hate people who work for a living and are successful. They cant understand why those people have more toys then them when they sit on their ass playing games or blogging all day. Also im sure a lot are upset they got kicked out of the nest. If you're upset about bank bailouts fine but calling people liars and corrupt because they do not lean left is bigoted.

  • @anonismorefun i dub you keeper of inane bullshit. WTF does any of that have to do with the price of eggs in Japan? Tell me how does Ron Paul not getting equal air time have anything to do with the OWS? Put your tinfoil hat back on and go hide in your parents basement the people with the nets are coming to get you.

  • stossels reports are moslty legit. i agree with the protests just not that one. too many people who just wanna trash others

  • @PirateSygnal

Whats wrong with stossel? sorry you must obviously know everything about everything or are u one of the famous occupy protesters who caused about 14 million dollars in damages? all these people voted for obama, and when the time comes he cant even help them!

  • "Taxing the rich is different than taking your stuff by force!"

    Retarded neocon.

  • "Taxing the rich is different than taking your stuff by force"

??? Excuse me? Taxation is force. Try not paying your taxes, see what happens. Taxation is theft.

  • @kamikazee55 It's not theft because you're not constitutionally entitled to the percentage of money that the government takes, plus the money isn't even technically yours to begin with. You can look on the back of your money, it says "Federal Reserve Note" You're just entitled to spend it, the money itself belongs to the entire economy and government as a country.

  • @rufuguru What is the constitution? A piece of paper. How does this piece of paper give individuals the authority to take property from me at the point of a gun?

If people force me at gunpoint to use only the pieces of paper they print, that is slavery. What was the printing paid for with? My labor.

There is no government. There is no country. There are buildings, pieces of paper, guns and flags, individuals. None of these things have the authority to use force.

  • @kamikazee55 Wow, first of all they don't audit people at gunpoint (they rarely audit anyone at all). And for you to insult the constitution like that reminds me of why most people don't seem to care about politics and the people that run their country.

  • @rufuguru If you dont pay your taxes you will get a few letters, then a court date, then a few more letters, then eventually someone with a gun will show up at your door. Adding extra steps to the process does not mean that it is not force.

Run the country? There is no country. Individuals do not need running.

  • @kamikazee55 The IRS doesn't pursue cases that aren't worth their time. So unless you make a LOT of money and you don't pay a LOT of your taxes, they don't really care. No, they don't show up with a gun at your door. Your lack of government knowledge is disgusting.

  • @rufuguru The police will. They will throw you in jail to be raped. Maybe you should google tax evasion.

  • @kamikazee55 My family has evaded taxes, but we're low income. They didn't care. In fact, when we filed two years later, they still didn't care. Go figure. I'm not in jail, nor am I raped, btw you know there's a difference between jail and prison right? If you have anything logical or factual to argue, be my guest, but so far you've just been spewing out random comments that have nothing to do with the function of government or the IRS.

  • @rufuguru You aren't making an argument. You are trying to deny that the government is completely based on force. Empirically you aren't succeeding, you are denying reality.

If you really didn't think they'd do anything, why did you end up filing them at all?

  • @kamikazee55 I can't prove that the government never uses force, but I'd sure like to see you prove that it's completely based on force. That thought is laughable.

We had the incentive to file our taxes to get money from our tax return, that's economics 101 buddy. Didn't seem forceful to "bribe" us to do our taxes.

  • @rufuguru I can prove that it is founded on force. What happens if you dont follow the 'governments' rules? Force will be used.

Economics 101? Why file them at all? What about sales tax? What if you refuse to pay that? What if you dont want to pay social security. It's pretty incredible the extent to which you will go trying to justify an immoral system.

  • @kamikazee55 Your anarchistic agenda seems to not allow you to look at things from multiple angles. You say taxation is immoral, well you're more than free to live outside of the boundaries of any country. You wouldn't have to pay any taxes. That argument isn't proof, in fact you would have to state how every part of the government is based on force, and if a single part of the government wasn't, you'd inherently be wrong.

  • @rufuguru

    1. There is no country. There is no boundary. There are only individuals. The government does not exist. I cannot leave the state. The state is the enslavement of the human mind.

    2. Even if I accept your premise that the govt does exist. I still own my property. My land is mine, my house is mine. Even if I never leave my house the government still claims a right to it. If I don't pay property taxes I'll be killed.

    3. All parts are based on force. Government=paid with taxes=force...

  • @kamikazee55 I'm not even sure you LIVE in the United States. They don't kill the 1,000's of people who, every year, don't pay their property tax. Your logic is more idiotic than "christian proof" of the existence of god.

  • @rufuguru You are comparing me to a christian? You are the one being irrational. The state is the modern God. A complete bullshit fairy tale. You cannot solve problems through violence. It is immoral.

Enough of me defending arguments though. Why don't you help me understand how the state has any legitimate authority. The answer should be very clear considering the weight of the topic.

  • @kamikazee55 That is a good question that has been open to debate. I feel that question can best be answered through the Social Contract Theory, you can google it for a full definition, but basically it advocates the government's existence and authority by mutual consent of the people. Because the majority of the population has mutually consented for the necessity of a governing body, it has the authority as given to it by the people to be a necessary body of authority.

  • @kamikazee55 The government has the right to tax, make war, make laws, defend the country, and create boarders (just to list a few things) because the a majority of the citizens of the country have consented to those powers.

  • @rufuguru Consented to those powers? How so?

    1. That's b.s. just so you know. Congress has a 9% approval rating..

    2. How does the 'majority'(which does not exist) have any power? If 3 people are on an island, two guys one girl and the guys vote to rape her does that make it right? Explain how the 'majority' has any authority.

    3. Even if we do accept your premise, how do we know that the majority has consented to these powers? There is no 'i do not consent to this' option on the voting ballot.

  • @kamikazee55 these decisions were made before our time. If you could convince a majority of the people that taxation was wrong, for example, you could amend the constitution to take that power away. If you're so convinced that things you use in your very arguments don't exist, be my guest and prove so. You've made a claim without evidence. I have a question, why are you such a mamy ass whiner, it's frankly sad that you sit and complain all day without offering a solution to anything

  • @rufuguru 1. How can I be obligated to what people decided before I existed? If slavery is a choice, then I choose not to be a slave.

    2. How do we know that the majority actually decided this? If you look at how governments are established today, it's not like everyone gets together and has a vote. They just claim authority.

I've made a claim without evidence. There is no majority. There are only individuals. There is no forest, there are only individual trees.

    Solution: Drop the guns.

  • @kamikazee55 What guns you lunatic? If you say the government's guns I'll just have to point out your incessant belief that it doesn't exist. You can't advocate one thing and flip flop on the issue. You're as bad as Mitt Romney.

  • @rufuguru The guns individuals point. The 'government' does not exist. Individuals that act in the name of this fantasy do exist. Statists are no different than someone that acts in the 'name of god'.

  • Stossel is such a fucking moron. He is perfect for fox.

  • People that defend Stossel's flip-flopping have the memory of a starfish and the spine of a box jelly. I refuse to answer your stupid and grammatically irredeemable comments any longer.

  • @cjathsyd translation: " I Don't like what you're saying, but I'm too stupid to refute it. So I'm just going to call you names"

  • @david52875

    That's the Marxist way!

  • @cjathsyd

Have you never flip flopped? Do you have the same beliefs today that you had when you were 5 years old? LOL, I certainly hope that's not the case, but I wouldn't be surprised. "Durr everything should be free!"

  • "Let's work as hard as we can to portray these people as aimless whiners."

  • You dickheads its about, discussing the truth about the criminal activities of wall street and corruption, anyone researching it knows that its a protest for the restoration of ethics and semblance of justice in capitalism, you morons ignore it, until it grows and it will be coming up the drive and coming in through your bedroom window.

  • Stossel is the man! He tells it like it is, even if the lefty loons can't accept the truth.

  • Jonh Stossel, Yes you are a puppet for Fox news, hate all that your told by fox corp..It's sad that someone dosen't find there way to your door steps and hands u that puppet that kid sore in you???

  • You know Stossel loved soaking in those chants. You can just tell.

  • Fox News is analogous to the Republican Party. There is neocon side (Bill O'Reilly; Mitt Romney, Rick Perry) and a libertarian side (John Stossel, Andrew Napolitano; Ron Paul, Gary Johnson). The libertarian side shares the grievances of OWS - they are against bailouts, they are against special privileges for corporations, and they are opposed to the government policies that cause unemployment.

  • Comment removed

  • @NeonShadowsx

OWS has no specific arguments or grievances. There is very little education displayed by any of these so-called 'protesters' in what issues they do state explicitly. 'Arguments' range from a welfare state to communism. The libertarian stance is very anti-socialist, extremely capitalistic. OWS is only supported by people too uneducated or willingly ignorant to do anything but contribute to their self-righteous agenda of laziness, parasitism, and control.

  • @NeonShadowsx "How am I corrupt? How am I corrupt?" says John Stossel. Brain washed Wallstreeter says"YOUR FKING CORRUPT, YOUR CURRUPT PUPPET". Lol we should just castrate all the wall street protestors so they don't spread their idiocy.

  • @NeonShadowsx Good news, most members of the Republican party are also against Bail outs, ESPECIALLY against corporations being subsidized, and last thing you said didn't make sense. Probably every politician in America now are against unemployment. Jesus dude, your very confused about politics.

  • lol, so entertaining:) "Your a puppet"...thats the best he had? lol

  • Oreilly and Stossel work for the system that steels from the poor to support the rich and they won't dare say anything that would jeopardize their jobs. The two of them made it a point to mention possible violent tendencies of the protesters. The major new agencies are just propaganda tools for the government. Suggest to everyone to get your news elsewhere.

  • Stossel doesn't know what these people are angry about? They (we) are angry that Wallstreet got bailed out on the our tax dollars, they are back to their old shell games while unemployment is still over 9%. Oh and fuck off with the Occupy Wall Street being backed by Soros Money.

  • @momentofsciencetx Stossel agrees with you that they shouldn't have been bailed out. He's a libertarian, very strict one, and isn't a shill for Fox. He's saying the same stuff now as when he was on 20/20 — in fact, he's a little repetitive.

  • @Tironius Well im glad you know he agrees with me, didn't seem to come off that way.

  • Props to Stossel for defending the very people who hate him. Stossel said it best: "I earned nineteen emmys criticizing business. I haven't won any since I started criticizing government."

  • HAHA! Stossel is an idiot, but look at these two freaks. The old guy was probably one of the few cowards who cost the lives of hundreds of South Vietnamese while the others were out fighting and dying and the kid in the DP shirt.... very obviously stoned out of his mind. He needs his face deep fat fried!

  • Holy shit I'm on the floor lol!

  • You can tell John Stossel is genuinely shaken, and his feelings are hurt, when watching this clip. He seems really defensive and well... Just pathetic.

  • @Dalmuros1234 Pathetic is how you describe someone who's the victim of verbal insults? Harsh.

  • @Tironius I think that John, or anyone in the Media that propagates lies, is far more hurtful towards society than the verbal insults are towards them. That said, I would venture that John is playing up the role of the victim. He has done a terrible job at keeping up any semblance of journalism when covering the OWS movement, and should be tough enough to stomach the discontent of the people he's misrepresenting.

  • Blatant fear-mongering and false information. These guys treat the public like idiots.

  • @lightfootprint because you poorly represent the public ...you idiot

  • Just want to say, this stream de comment says a damn good deal about how polarized american politics have become, thanks to the meddling of corporations in our media--progressives distrust each other, conservatives apparently trust anyone with a Fox logo under their face, even if they're a corporate shill. Just look at the TRULY silly shit people here say... example below.

  • 0:10 the typical Democrat.

Stossel's smarter than 10 of these guys put together. Best hour on cable news once a week is Stossel's show.

The Occupy socialists are dumb, ignorant trash. Anyone who believes in economic freedom is supposedly a puppet to these vermin, as if everyone wants some crappy government program in charge of everything, and if you don't, then some shadowy businessman must have paid you off.

People are poorer under socialism. Occupy approval rating dropping, in 30s

  • FOX NEWS ARE FASCISTS!!! THIS IS ALL ABOUT THE REDISTRIBUTION OF WEALTH!!!

  • Morons still dont know why theyre angry..lol...FOX LIES!!!

  • Poor Stossel. He's one of the two only guys at fox that use their brains. The other one is judge Napolitano.

  • @SloterMFmeyer deciding that making money is more important than living up to basic journalistic professional standards is using your brain--it's just not using your heart, soul, or conscience. Living like rats in a maze. I pity everyone who works for a traditional media conglomerate or major corporation. The free market somehow ate their freedom.

  • @cjathsyd I doubt Stossel doesn't have a bloodpump. The other two were just made up to keep people down and stupid. Government force monopoly can not be the answer to a lack of freedom.

  • @SloterMFmeyer aight, nuff said. stossel still sucks.

  • I wonder why people are "inflamed" you pretentious, duplicitous asshole.

  • @beebeeguy69 to be fair, if toofless guy had stossels gig, and stossel was the protester, I don't think their tones would have changed during their brief meeting! lol

  • I call stossel defenders the 2G1C% because they got fox news all over their face!

  • He has to go back to 1920 to find liberal acts of violence? I'd say that is a pretty good record on our part compared to conservative violent extremists.

  • And what's more ironic is that these PROBABLY ARE Ron Paul supporters!!!

  • @Marakulous43 this is happening because of someone that has a name that rhymes with Fon Luwert....Jon Stewart ....really did spew his hatred for all things red and in the way confused the young on what to believe...

  • Those far left zealots remind me of Ron Paul supporters, calling everyone puppets these days.

  • good to know stossel had creepy long hair too

  • Is Occupy Wall Street officially dislike John Stossel?

  • @Vitacore John Stossel used to be a "consumer watchdog" reporter. He used to be about protecting consumers from corporations, and believed the government should do it. Then, using his credibility, he got a job at Fox Business news where he has consistently taken a different side on the very issues that he used to champion. His big theme is: capitalism is great, the problem is regulation. On the back of an early career doing stings on employers and businesses.

  • @cjathsyd So I take it that you're anti-Capitalist? Maybe even pro-Communist?

  • @Vitacore I take it that you're an idiot.

  • @Vitacore So I take it that you're an idiot? Maybe even a moron? haha, what's wrong with you. nothing in the reply gives credence to your implication. lol

  • @Vitacore Those are the two options? Geez, you are simple minded.

  • @Vitacore Don't be stupid. We never had capitalism; no country in the world has ever had capitalism. The only thing that has ever existed has been some kind of mixed economy. That's what we have. Your black and white view is silly beyond belief.

  • @tstruss912 That sounds like something Marx woulda said! lol

  • @cjathsyd You sound like Hitler with your black and white nonsense and nationalistic fervor. Tell me genius, how does this country have classical capitalism when there isn't total free movement of labor and our economy grew using protectionist measures, not to mention slavery (not exactly free-movement of labor, eh). Go on....

  • @tstruss912 LOL--that would be my point. i think you missed the sarc marc embedded in the context of Vitacore calling me "anti-capitalist? Maybe even pro-communist?" Which I presumed to be fox-news speak for Marxist. Calm your ass down with the hitler crap, genius. I'm actually on your side here. Sigh.

  • @cjathsyd lol my bad. I got you confused with the other user. I'm a retard like that sometimes. Plus, it's OBVIOUS that both of us are pro-communist ahahahaha These crazy people....

  • @Vitacore yea, because our founding father's gave interstate commerce powers to the federal government, i would fall into the category of people that you stupidly give those names to. Get the egg of your face.

  • @cjathsyd No comment on the regulation part, but there's no inconsistency with a libertarian being critical of big business. He's *still* critical of big business.

  • @Madfoot713 But that's not his position.

  • @cjathsyd What's not his position? That big business is bad?

  • @Madfoot713 he spoke at my school shortly after being hired on at Fox News and anyone over 30 was cracking up--because John Stossel used to consistently call for more regulation and government action on just about every story he did. It's a bigger incoherency than you perceive, when you hear him say stuff (like he did at my school) about how what was really holding our economy back was regulation and big government, and businesses and their owners need more liberty to flourish. Subtext.

  • @cjathsyd So he grew up, what's the problem?

  • @SloterMFmeyer It's not the growing up, it's what he grew into. Kinda like when a serial killer's mom says, "he was such a good boy growing up." Has nothing to do with present. BTW: he grew up around the same time most adults have a mid-life crisis and then started reporting like an irrational child.

  • @cjathsyd One good day, when Stossel was still what in the US is called a liberal, he realized that he was trying to find freedom in the arms of the biggest criminal on the scene. A lot of people never reach that level of enlightenment. I hope you have a long life, so you may experience it too one day. :)

  • @SloterMFmeyer So stossel is enlightened because he thinks corporations should be able to hurt more people and he says nothing? Count me out of that karmic shit-storm. ;)

  • @cjathsyd He has changed his views, you're right, and he admits that too. But he was advocating for free markets long before he came to FOX business.

  • @ConorJNixon See above post to Madfoot1713. He most certainly was not. It's not about politics here. It's about Stossel flopping from side to side like a beached dolphin for a buck. ;D

  • @cjathsyd Get a clue. Stossel changed his mind on these issues LONG before he joined Fox. YEARS! Look at some of his more recent ABC specials.

  • @cjathsyd

Stossel became a libertarian before he was hired by Fox Business. Don't make it sound like he changed his opinion when he went there.

  • @cjathsyd He has been a market oriented libertarian since the early 90's.

Besides some misunderstandings of economics, John Stossel is right most of the time.

"He used to be about protecting consumers from corporations, and believed the government should do it. "

He wised up and realized there is no need to protect people from voluntary transactions.

  • @cjathsyd Are you that ignorant? Haven't you been watching ABC 20/20 in the past? Stossel gives a different take on things - more libertarian leaning although with HEAVY bias against lawyers (seems like a personal thing for him). The job at Fox came later for different reasons.

Stossel's way has always been to try to break conventional wisdom.

What however is the fact that his new show (which used to be a mere segment) being a weekly thing has had an impact on its quality.

  • @cjathsyd He was doing these stings, then he came to realize that what he had been pushing for (more regulation, much like Nader) made people worse off than they were.

I came to the same realization during my course in journalism. no thanks to my teachers.

  • Why should they give this piece of shit the time of day? He's a proven, unrepentant liar. They called it exactly right.

  • I hate to see it when someone sells out but Stossel sold his soul to the devil. What a tragic end to what could have been a respectable career.

  • "there's so few of them and they'll all loons"

yet BillO, Stossel and FOX News are spending countless hours programming their little ditto heads with anti-OWS parrotry.

  • Fox News is capable of broadcasting ignorance the likes of which has never been witnessed before by mankind. Their entire propaganda outlet deserves to fall for the disgraceful manner in which they conduct themselves.

  • John Stewart Brought me here. It did not Dissapoint.

  • LMAO! Oh, God. How I love Jon Stewart.

  • Those OWS people certainly have a creepy angry vibe.

Just this hatred of people without any specifics. It's really creepy.

  • Poor Stossel, he's one of the good ones.

  • @Madfoot713 Yeah. I'm no fan of fox news, but I saw this guy's show one time while flipping through the channels and he actually seems pretty reasonable.

  • @Giodude93 Google FAIR and John Stossel. They have a complete listing of all his lies. Including the time Erin Brockovitch challenged him to drink some water laced with hexavalent chromium, which Stossel claimed wasn't dangerous. Or the time he railed against lawsuits and then sued a wrestler $200,000 for slapping him in the face. Or the time he got busted by his own network for falsifying a report stating organic food was more dangerous than non-organic.

  • @Giodude93 I'm a huge fan of Stossel. I understand some people think he's too pointlessly contrarian, but he's a great writer/speaker and has a wonderful way of challenging Republican othodoxy. In spite of all that, I'm not sure what he was expecting. These people are angry and justifiably so. Whether he likes it or not, Stossel is establishment, it'd be like Rachel Maddow or Cenk Uygur showing up at a Tea Party. It's just calling for trouble lol.

  • Stossel lies again, try 60,000 on Saturday. Pinheads!

  • And yet these are the guys that supported the Grand Old sPenders that robbed America. They fascist nut cases.

  • These two are total hacks. And they post Reichtwing opinion blogs to support their lies. You know they are scared. FOX LIES! FOX LIES! FOX LIES!

  • @rycka1983 i meant anything that doesnt violate individual rights. kidnapping and child prostitution rings would still be profitable, but society would oppose them.

  • Love Stossel but can O'Reilly ever do an interview and not interrupt the person he's talking to? It's really annoying.

  • lol shows what these dumbasses know. Stossel's in many way the only redeeming thing about Fox news. He's helped countless people realize the inherent dangers of things such as gun control, minimum wage and countless other abject failures of the state.

  • John Stossel is not the embodiment of FOX news

This was the one guy from FOX who would actually level with you guys and be on your side, and you just spit in his face. Disgraceful

  • my computer cant handle this video

  • OH hey liberals... Stossel left ABC because they wouldn't let him cover certain topics. Fox News lets him cover ANYTHING. So.... who's the liar again?

  • Is it even possible to lie when you show both sides?

  • Fox News is quickly losing all it's credibility. They are out of touch with America.

  • @MrJob62 Not according to, well, America - or with any credible study on the matter. FNC continues to be the most watched and most trusted major news network and its audience is the most politically diverse. Fair and balanced is not just a motto; according to the non-partisan Project for Excellence in Journalism as well as other credible sources, they do indeed offer the most balanced coverage of the issues.

  • @MrJob62 Leftists irrationally hating all who counter their worldview is not new, nor is their unfounded assumption that America sides with them. A Leftist's view of what America wants is more often than not NOT what America wants.

  • Gary Johnson is the best presidential candidate for the american people. He has the most logical and ethical economic solutions for this nation as a whole. I ask that you at least research him, and if you do not, if I did know you, I'd have to ask, why are you voting when you do not have all the facts? Why vote only for your own sake instead of for the sake of our nation and the greater good? Take some time and read, and see what else is out there? besides what the media tells you

  • Now, Stossel can be more O'Reilly than O'Reilly himself. He should try.

  • Everything is mixed up. Define terms. This IS a reaction to the 'redistribution' of wealth also known as the taxpayer funded bailouts. They are AGAINST that form of redistribution ad infinitum.

  • @culturehorse Actually, Douglas Schoen, he's a Democratic pollster went out to the protests and found out that half of them think the bank bailouts were necessary. It was a couple of days ago that he posted that poll. You should check it out. Just look up, "OWS 49% pro bailout." It should pop right up.

  • @culturehorse

The bailouts were 2 years ago.

    It's a bit of a delayed reaction.

  • Stossel: "...I don't think that's too different from what most Americans want. The polls show tax the rich more."

O'Reily: "No! No! I don't believe you... well that's a different thing. TAXING THE RICH IS DIFFERENT FROM TAKING YOUR STUFF BY FORCE."

WHAT?!?!?!?!?! I can't even, I don't, he said, I... THAT'S WHAT TAXATION IS YOU FUCKING DOLT! GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!

  • @MrUnicorn1995 Trying to find sense in Reilly is like looking for a needle in a haystack.

  • @MrUnicorn1995 No it isn't, you fucking dolt.

  • @MrUnicorn1995 True....the IRS is coming after me...still though, we do need to pay taxes. It's just part of life that even if we don't like it going to war or welfare we still have to pay.

  • Shut up! Some of these protesters are so immature, yes Fox News has been known for its bias. This doesn't mean you blame every single Fox employee. O'Reilly is a bigot, but Stossel is a good, honest man and a freedom fighter. O'Reilly, Hannity, and others should look up to their Fox colleagues John Stossel and Judge Napolitano.

  • @keatopolis Fox is only "known" for bias among people who have the opposite bias. Scientific studies and polls consistently show "fair and balanced" and "the most trusted name in news" are far more than just slogans!

  • Fox News is a puppet for the corporate establishment. So is MSNBC, anybody who falls into the partisan duality. Fuck you if you suck the cock of partisan politics.

  • DUMMIES THE TWO O'S IN STOSSEL MEAN THE TWO HAVE OF THE MOON IN THE FREEMASON BAPHOMET PICTURE DUMMIES

  • If I could fight anyone it would be bill oriely

  • @grindthrudeth he would basically destroy you

  • @TheJasonDR i highly doubt that

  • @grindthrudeth doubt what ?

  • Stossel's on Fox!? There was some short period I liked this guy. Really. What a fool I was.
